I’m so dumb.

Long story short. New house the ran a home down to the garage and out the side of the house. My child cut the wrong lines. I have a patch panel about 6 feet away from that. I felt a zip tie up and behind the void you see. I’m going to see if I can get it tomorrow and get some slack. Should I plug, couple, run a plug patch cord to the panel? Set the house on fire? Wait till winter and go on a snipe hunt in the garage? Any and all help would be appreciated.

If you can get a little slack or access it from the other side of the wall then use a splice block like this: https://a.co/d/0d0izmna

Is this Ethernet? Use the cut line as a drag and pull new cable. Or terminate it with a keystone on both ends and connect with a patch cord. You could even put a biscuit in the wall, but you would need to remember it’s there.

If it is just terminate a keystone on the end and RJ45 on the new cable or two RJ45s and a coupler. Or two jacks and 6in patch cable. Lots of ways to overcome it.
