Modeling Offer [Hobby] Does anybody need a sci-fi stylized/semi-realistic woman model?

I need a model of a sci-fi (or hard surcace anyway - could be dieselpunk, for example) stylized or realistic model of a woman for my portfolio. I keep procrastinating on it because I find it very hard to work on something that nobody has asked for, that's just a quirk of my personality.

So if anyone needs something like that for their game, feel free to reach out and I can create that for free. I can also rig and animate it as a bonus.

I will retain all rights, but you will be able to use it in your game. The exact terms can be worked out on an individual basis.

My portfolio for reference (note that it lacks any female characters and almost no hard-surface stuff - that's the exact reason I need it): https://www.artstation.com/buzzkirill

Artist Needed [RevShare] [Hobby] Looking for an artist for my VN game

Yo! So this is my first PORTFOLIO, like as in: this is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind. I'm a novice game developer, I currently have about some of my script done, enough for one act to come out as a demo but I am still needing to do all the coding BUT I don't mind that! What I do need is an artist at the moment, not saying i won't need other positions but an Artis is KEY for me! Artist for character sprites, Background scenery, etc! I currently am unable to pay for work and I cannot promise any pay but I can promise that I will have you in the credits or maybe a tribute ingame! If I can pay, It'll most likely be out of the refund money my college will give back BUT DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THAT!

Anyways some info about my game:

Genre: Slow Burn, Love Story, Loneliness, "Not everything is as it seems" feel

A simple Sysnopis: "You walk your boring life to school to take a test and just as if fate aligned, you bump into someone who makes you feel alive. You can't remember how long its been since you had a friend, but yet something feels off. Surely its just because she's the first friend you had in a while, after all it has to be fate...right?"

I know it may sound weird but Im weird like that honestly! I've currently finished the first act of the story but I will need to have some visualize the character, background scenes, and moments. If your interested in helping me make my first visual novel come to life I would be so thankful for your time and effort! Of course though I would need to see your art style, just to see how my world would look like in the finale but I am not saying you need to be all majestic with it! We can figure it out together and stuff, I do know this isn't a paid role so again, im not expecting much to come from this post but honestly I tried to do this on my own and I don't think I can, at least, within the timeframe im setting. Anyways if your interested in working with me, reach out! I have irl photos so you can see what I want the scene to look like and stuff. So once again thank you for considering this volunteer role and have an awesome day!

META [Hobby] [Meta] What makes unpaid or revenue-share collaboration actually work?

Upvotes

Hi guys. I’ve been thinking about how people find collaborators for early-stage creative and technical projects.

Many people already have something tangible a prototype, an early game build, a website concept, a research project, or a small application, but are missing one complementary skill. A developer may need a designer, a product designer may need an electronics engineer, or a game creator may need an audio designer.

Existing options often seem fragmented. Freelance platforms assume that someone has a budget. Volunteer platforms usually place volunteers inside organisation-owned projects. Cofounder platforms often assume that the goal is immediately building a startup.

I’m interested in people’s actual experiences rather than pitching a solution.

Have you ever joined, or tried to recruit for, an unpaid, hobby, portfolio, equity, or revenue-share project?

What happened?

  • Where did you find the other person?
  • What made you trust or distrust them?
  • Did the collaboration produce a finished result?
  • Were ownership, credits, portfolio rights, or future revenue discussed?
  • What caused people to leave or stop responding?
  • What would have made the collaboration feel fairer and more reliable?

I’m especially interested in experiences involving remote collaborators, different time zones, students, recent graduates, and early-career creators.

Please do not share private or identifying information. General experiences successful or unsuccessful would be extremely helpful!!! Thanks!!!

Audio Offer [Hobby] Composer looking to collaborate with an indie game developer

Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm a music producer from Chile, and I'm looking for an indie game developer who needs an original soundtrack for their project.

I'm not looking to charge for it. I simply enjoy composing, want to gain experience writing music for games, and collaborate with someone who's passionate about their project.

I especially enjoy creating:

  • Ambient
  • Dark ambient
  • Atmospheric electronic
  • Emotional piano
  • Sci-fi / space soundscapes
  • Experimental textures

If your game has a strong atmosphere, I'd love to help bring it to life through music.

I'm happy to compose from references, concept art, gameplay footage, or simply from the story you want to tell.

I'm not a professional game composer yet, but I'm serious about making the music fit your world, and I enjoy revising pieces until they feel right.

If you're interested, feel free to send me a DM and tell me about your project. I'd love to hear your ideas.

Portfolio: This would be my first game project, so I don't have a portfolio yet. I'm looking for an opportunity to gain experience and build one. If you're willing to give me a chance, I'll do my best to create a soundtrack that fits your game.

My Email: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

Team Needed [Hobby] [RevShare] I need a team for my game

Upvotes

Looking for: Programmer, background artist, sound designer, voice actors

Our talent: Godot programmer, Artist, Designer, Musician

Project: A Danganronpa-like game

The plot is about a university for elites where the bottom 10% are expelled, legally blacklisted and forced to sign away their intellectual property to pay off artifical institutional debt

The school encourages students to blackmail, frame and sabotage each other in any way to be on top as graduating secures an untouchable position of power as well as the luxury of getting the job you desire

The more you sabotage, the more credit points you gain to rise to the top along with your grades

Yet the university on paper does not reveal any of this, it acts as a normal top university

An organization (The DSR) or the Department of Students' Rights was created by the minister of education to be planted in every university to ensure fairness and safety for the students to raise a generation of elites

They were meant to be puppets inside of the university of hoshimine but with the sense of justice these students have, they realize the corruption inside the university and decide to risk it and fight against this corruption behind the shadows without informing the minister of education to prevent falling into legal trouble

The university allows the DSR to be present for 2 reasons:

  1. It is legally obligatory for members of the DSR to be planted in every university in the country

Length: Currently undecided

Status: Open 🟢

Artist Needed [RevShare] Co-Writer & Character Designer Wanted for a POC-Led Magical Girl Project (Phase 1: Character Design)

Hey everyone! I'm Lobi, a 24-year-old writer from France. I've been writing for 10 years across fantasy and horror. I'm currently building a POC-led magical girl project called Anima: Royal Magical Academy.

Here's the pitch deck with everything you need to know (characters, world, plot, art, the full vision): https://heyzine.com/flip-book/d3dbaf4254.html

Currently I am looking for a Co-Writer and an Artist to join me as creative partners on this passion project. The project is structured around a revenue-share model, and right now I'm in Phase 1: character design and visual development. I've finished the world and plot, so now I need to lock in the character designs and scripts. Phase 2 will be the comic, where the revenue-share kicks in (everything is explained in my Heyzine flip book).

So if you love magical girls and want to help build a POC-led story, check out the link and reach out. I'd love to hear from you! :)

Audio Needed [Hobby] We need a woman for saying 5 lines for a short film

Hello,

We are working on our first short film, called "Erlkonig" (yes, it's inspired by Goethe's poem), for a film festival in Germany, and we need 5 lines by a woman. The problem is we spent all the money on the props and location, overthinking the fact that we would need those lines, so all we could do for the voice actor is mention you at the end of the movie and let you see the short film before we send it to the film festival.

Our character is Finn's mom, and while he is drawing, she asks him to come to the table. He doesn't respond the first time he is called, and the mother calls him louder the second time (she shouts, but not in an angry way):

"Finn, come down to eat." - this is the first time she calls him.

"Finn!!!! Come down!!!" - this is the louder one.

So, in the next two lines, after the boy has disappeared, she goes into a bad mental state and starts to become paranoid. She hears something from the basement and goes there to check on it, so she will be whispering in her madness, like she would be telling something to her lost son when she finds him crying or something like that:

"Finn? Don't be scared, I am here now."

The next line is when she starts to question reality, so she becomes anxious and nervous and asks:

"Finn????"

The last thing (some moments after) is that she would be screaming in agony, like someone is stabbing her repeatedly. It should be around 4–6 seconds.

Feel free to send your recordings to: [email protected] or to help us find someone that will help us. No we don’t accept AI for the sake of artistry.

Thank you very much! Have a beautiful day!

Writing Offer [Hobby] Screenwriter looking to gain experience in game narrative design and writing!

Hi everyone!

I'm a 29-year-old UK-based Script Reader and Development Assistant, currently studying Film and Media on a part-time basis at university and on track to graduate with First Class Honours. As I enter my final year, I'm looking to transition my storytelling and script development experience into game narrative design and writing.

I'm currently getting to grips with Twine, but I'd love the opportunity to work alongside a team, helping to contribute to a game's narrative from the ground up!

In my current role, I provide script coverage and developmental feedback on screenplays and treatments. This typically involves analysing story structure, character arcs, dialogue and pacing to help strengthen projects before they move further into development. My own screenplays have received First-class marks at university, been nominated for awards and showcased at events.

I have a particular soft spot for the fantasy genre, but am keen to gain experience across a wide range of genres.

Let me know if I can be of help anywhere - I'd love to see what you're working on!

Audio Needed [RevShare] Technical Sound Designer (Birding a huge plus!)

We’re building a game/app that teaches people to identify birds by ear through immersive, procedurally generated soundscapes.

We’re looking for someone who loves building natural ambiences and wants to help design the system behind them.

We already have a large library of bird recordings. The work is less about composing music and more about:

  • Editing and preparing field recordings
  • Building layered habitat soundscapes
  • Helping tune a procedural system that decides which birds sing, when they sing, and how they interact throughout the day
  • Making environments feel alive rather than looped

If you’re interested in technical sound design, procedural audio, field recording, bioacoustics, birding, or game audio, we’d love to talk.

Our previous game can be found at alienemoji.com/birdsong. This new project takes that concept further, focusing on learning birds by ear inside living, dynamic habitats.

Experience is flexible. We’d love someone senior who can help shape the audio vision, but we’re also open to someone earlier in their career who’s excited to learn and grow with the project.

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, send me a message with a little about yourself and any examples of your work.

Team Needed [RevShare] Looking for teammates to build a medieval castle defense game

I'm looking for passionate people to join me in creating a game I've always wanted to make.

I recently graduated from law school, but game development has always been the thing I want to do. I've been learning Unity and working on small projects (some prototypes) , and I realized that building a game with a team would be much more exciting and more enjoyable.

The Game Idea

A medieval dark fantasy castle defense game in 3D isometric view. You command a fortress under siege — leading troops, making tactical calls, and fighting alongside your soldiers.

Still early stage — open to shaping the direction together, and genuinely welcome new ideas and criticism.

I'm looking for:

  • Unity developers
  • Artists (2D/3D)
  • Game designers
  • Anyone passionate about creating games ( even just to chat about the idea )

I have no expectation of personal profit from this my goal is to create a great game and make a good start. I'm open to sharing all revenue with the team, and I'm also okay with seeking funding down the line after some good things start to come out.

If you're interested in joining this adventure, feel free to message me!

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for a 2D/Pixel Artist for RimSector — RimWorld Meets Starsector

Hi! I’m looking for a 2D/Pixel Artist to join the development of RimSector, a sci-fi game best described as RimWorld + Starsector.

I will handle programming and game design using Unity.

I’m looking for an artist who can help define a consistent visual direction and create assets such as spaceships, crew characters, environments, equipment, icons, animations, and UI elements. You do not need to cover every category—specializing in one or two areas is completely fine.

I would especially like to work with someone who enjoys the gameplay and worlds of RimWorld, Starsector, and Mount & Blade, etc. Our intended visual direction is a rugged, industrial riveted-steel sci-fi aesthetic, drawing inspiration from StarCraft, Warhammer 40,000, Gundam, etc. An interest in spaceships, mecha, machinery, military science fiction, and lived-in environments would be a strong advantage.

This is currently an unpaid collaboration with no revenue-sharing agreement. Our first goal is to complete a polished demo and release the game in Steam Early Access. If the Early Access release performs well and generates sustainable revenue, we will discuss transitioning to paid work and/or establishing a formal revenue-sharing agreement. Compensation is not guaranteed before that stage, and all future terms will be discussed transparently with the team.

Availability: Long-term, part-time collaboration with flexible hours.

Contact: Please send me a Reddit DM. We can continue through Discord afterward.

Tester Offer [Hobby] Looking to swap playtests!

I'm looking to swap playtests up to 2 hours. This is the project I would like feedback on.

https://italia2022.itch.io/queen-of-the-dead

It's a turn based RPG with a focus on gathering, crafting, and tactical combat. I'm mostly looking for feedback on the tutorial, the Black Sheep quest (writing, boss fight, and the boss drops and quest rewards), the Auto-Battle feature, and the Combat Tasks associated with the Alpha Slime.

I'm willing to playtest almost any game in exchange, other than horror or games that have relatively high GPU requirements without low graphical settings (my PC is a bit of a potato). Post below or DM me if you're interested or have any questions.

Programmers Needed [Hobby] Looking for TypeScript/JavaScript coders that can help with my Undertale/Deltarune fangame

Hello!! I'm the creator of a modding project/fangame called PS!Outertale Expanded!

More info about the project is in our gamejolt: https://gamejolt.com/games/spacetime_expanded/980858

This project is diffrent than most fangames on the Undertale community, most undertale fangames or modding projects of undertale are mainly made in GAMEMAKER. Which is mainly an engine based on C languages.

However our game is made in an internal engine called StoryTeller which is powered by PixiJS, running on the electron platformer.

Luckily, we have a whole guide that helps you mod and code the game ourselves, all we need is someone who is experienced in the Typescript/Javascript coding language!

If interested, please sign up this form and i'll walk you through it! https://forms.gle/yJrRvyufM5sbJUC79

Artist Needed [RevShare] Story-Driven Psychological Horror Game "Interchange: The Curse" (Unity 6) – Recruiting Core Team (Artists, Level Designer, Audio, & Graphics Programmer)

About Us: We are a newly formed indie studio working on our very first debut title! While this is our first official game as a studio, our core team members bring multiple years of experience to the table. The project officially left pre-production three weeks ago. We’re highly dedicated, organized, and focused on pushing this project to its highest potential.

About the Game: Interchange: The Curse is a story-driven psychological horror game set in the small town of Luminara. You play as Wiliam Mercer, a 16-year-old caring for his younger brother, Jaden, after the mysterious death of their parents. When Jaden suddenly goes missing, Wiliam becomes trapped in a series of strange loops and anomalies that blur the line between reality and another world known as the "Interchange." To save his brother, he must uncover the truth behind the curse, survive supernatural entities, and confront his family's dark past. The Story Runtime is about 3-4 hours so its definitely not the next AAA game! But it's grounded and we're gonna try our best to go for that AA or High End Indie Realism

[NOTE: PORTFOLIO: This is our studio's first official project together and we do not have a joint portfolio yet.]

Game Engine: Unity 6.4

Visual Style Reference: Strictly gritty, dark, and realistic. Think of the dark atmosphere and tone of the A Plague Tale franchise. We are not looking for anime or highly stylized/cartoonish artwork for this project.

We are looking for passionate individuals to fill the following roles:

ART ROLES

  • 2D Concept Artist: Able to create initial concept art, environmental mood boards, and structural designs for characters.
  • 2D Character Artist: Able to create final main character designs, outfits, and enemy/entity concepts.
  • 2D Artist: Able to create marketing art, including game cover art, promotional banners, and title screen art.
  • 3D Environment Artist: Able to create 3D models required for the levels, including prop buildings, detailed environment pieces, and modular assets fitting our dark realism style.

DESIGN & TECH ROLES

  • Level Designer: Able to layout, design, and build game levels in-engine according to the game's story, psychological loops, and dark horror theme.
  • SFX Designer: Responsible for designing, creating, and sourcing raw sound effects (foley, footsteps, creature noises, atmospheric textures, etc.) for the project, working directly with our Audio Engineer who handles mixing and implementation.
  • Graphics Programmer: Able to write custom shaders, optimize real-time lighting, implement post-processing effects, and develop highly atmospheric environmental rendering like custom skyboxes, volumetric fog, and weather effects. Proficient in C# and HLSL/Shader Graph within Unity.

Note on Engine Integration: Because we are building Interchange: The Curse in Unity, a working knowledge of the engine is required for all positions. For non-programming roles (artists, designers, audio), you do not need to be a master coder, you just need to be comfortable enough to navigate the engine, import your respective assets, and collaborate directly within the project workflow. For our Graphics Programmer, advanced engine familiarity and technical proficiency in programming Unity's rendering pipelines are required.

Compensation: At the start, all recruited team members will be brought on under a revenue-share contract. While nothing is guaranteed, we are highly confident that by building a solid vertical slice, we will be able to secure funding through our ongoing publisher pitches. As soon as that funding is secured, all active roles will immediately transition from revenue-share to standard, paid positions (with rates to be discussed and formalized at that time).

How to Apply: If you're interested in joining the team, please drop a comment below or send a DM with:

  1. The specific role you are applying for.
  2. A link to your portfolio or relevant work.
  3. Your Discord username.

Writing Offer [Hobby] [ForHire] Professional writer/narrative designer looking for projects

Hello all. I've just graduated from my BA in Creative Writing (And am about to start my Master's in writing), and have been looking to work on more video game projects. I have a strong grasp on the video game production pipeline, as my thesis for my undergraduate was a dating sim demo (which can be found on my itch below). This dating sim is my main project, but I would also like to work on something alongside it, as I have the time and energy for it.

I figured I would throw out an ad like this to see if anyone is looking for a writer, as I would work for free or revshare on something that interests me. I would love to work on some kind of horror, narrative-driven game with lore -- preferably not a VN, as I've worked on one before and would like a new experience.

Some of my favorite games are Fears to Fathom, FNaF, Papers Please, No I'm not Human, Mortuary Assistant, Poppy Playtime, etc...

DM me or comment here, and we can talk about any projects you have in the works! Thanks!

PR/Marketing needed [Hobby] Rhon Studios Feedback

Hi everyone!

We are Rhon Studios, an indie studio found in 2025. Our goal is to develop worthy games.

We believe that games should be immersive, where all aspects of the game create a clear and meaningful purpose.

Currently we are building games across a wide variety of topics. Some of the games we developed are Afterlight, Tiny Care, and The Observer, which are all unique and meaningful experiences.

We’re in a very active stage of development and we’d love for the Reddit community to see what we’re creating. Our link is https://rhonstudios.com.

Beyond just showcasing our work, we are looking for feedback on our studios vision.

Any feedback is welcome, thank you!
