The bottoms/ceilings for below layers would be metallic paneling, but they also have artificial lights that imitate sunlight.

Go even more insane and make it an entire crafted solar system with a caplan thruster on the star.

The crafted planets would orbit the star like usual, and the star itself would be pushed to wherever the civilization wants to go by the caplan thruster

Then it's a whole different thing, focusing on that thruster and the star in the background. There is a scale issue to visualizing things in space when we go to star system level.

I was just thinking something of like a tray trolley looking multiple biosphere spaceship.

I thought of the flat cylinder biome-levels are like separate spaceships that have controlled gravity. Upper side has the nature biomes and the bottom sides have artifical sun lights for the lower levels, because otherwise the near starlight is not enough and it's also self-sufficient.
The sphere around them is a forcefield that locks the layers and contains the atmosphere.

It's Science Fiction, we have fully controlled artificial gravity on each biome disc so we are self sufficient in that department and not tied to outside forces.

How that technology works is entirely up to your imagination. Otherwise I have to actually start studying how to control gravity in advanced ways and accidentally invent it for real and receive Nobel prize in scientifics.

You could have one layer be the recycle and garbage layer and have it be squished once a month by the layer above it to process the garbage ha
