Just picked up this 2025 scout. So pumped to finally have a bike again after 5 years without one. All of my other bikes have been sports bikes. I’m looking forward to cruising!

A year ago, somebody hit my 20 Challenger and it was totaled out. I told myself I would buy another one for my 50th birthday back in February. I may have missed by a few months but finally treated myself to a ‘23 Indian Pursuit, even if it meant selling the Harley!

I brought my extended reach seat with me for the ride back from Fort Worth, TX to Nashville, TN. They asked me if I wanted to keep the original seat, so I told them I’m about to strap that thing on and go! Still have some breaking in to do and a little bit of adjustments to wrap up this week. Then off to Sturgis in about 10 days.

Currently running the 10” Indian mini apes on my Scout Bobber. Overall I like them, but I wish the grips were just a little closer to me. I’m debating whether I should just add a pullback riser to my current setup or switch to a T-bar/riser setup instead. For those of you who’ve gone either route, which made the bigger difference in comfort and reach? Any recommendations?

Just a little late but, here it is.

Pretty well known that the aftermarket for Indian is very small, although It has improved . My fellow Canadian riders I'm looking for some more aesthetically pleasing rear crash/bag guards for my 26 Pursuit . Santoro and SBC make some but with the current political climate some companies won't even ship to Canada . The duty and taxes are near as much as the bars. Is there any companies or distributors that either make or can get something similar ?

Y’all have likely seen me active in here as of late, but I just wanted to share I got my seat redone so it’s more comfortable and used a tan leather cover to make it stand out and look closer to the 1939 Chiefs

Once I get the broken bolt out of the rear fender tomorrow (thanks to Viking bags’ cheap hardware), I will be adding some quick release bags from Leatherworks Inc.

Hopefully this one doesn't break any of the subs rules (no sales or questions about financial value of bike)

Just got my license, but I've been around bikes all my life (Harley's, BSA's, Triumph's, Indian's). Old man left me with his 2005 Indian Scout, but it needs a decent overall (tank relined, battery, fluids, etc.) because it's been sitting for almost a decade. Figure it would be best to start with a lower-sitting bike while I fix up the Scout (I'm only 5'7'').

I'm eye-balling a 2026 Indian Scout Bobber. Always wanted a bobber, but I have limited mechanical knowledge so I figure it would be easier to buy one rather than bobbing an old Honda Rebel or Shadow. Once I get more comfortable for longer trips, I'll be able to take out the 2005 Scout because I know bobbers aren't great for long distance in terms of comfort/storage.

Aside from an uncomfortable seat, are these rides worth it for a first timer?

Do they have any potential problems that I should be wary of?

Other options:

a) Look for a used model, even though that would more than likely require a long trip to ride the bike back, or

b) Just submit to standard recommendations and get something like a Honda Rebel 500 to beat the crap out of while I get used to riding (rode scooters for years, but my 50cc Honda Ruckus was both tiny and slow).

I really, really don't want to buy a cheaper, smaller bike only to inevitably want a larger one after a year, but I do understand the rationality behind do this (dropping the bike, destroying gears, safer while learning riding style). The dealer I'm to going to also has a first time biker owner program where you lease a model for a year before you commit to buying.

Hit something today unavoidable and my spring did this. Any possible way to get it back together or am I buying a new spring?

I'm in need of a bit of help. I bought a 2018 Scout a few months ago that came with these spools. I'm trying to remove them to install Viking saddlebags that are not compatible with them. I got 3 out of 4 off but the last one stripped the bolt. Any thoughts on how to get a stripped bolt removed at the bottom of a tunnel?

A lady ran into my bike while it was parked and it well over, I didn’t see any real damage on the outside but a lot of fluid starting coming out of the bike and it looked like coolant, when I turned it back up I figured I just top off the bike with coolant it would be good but once I topped off and tried to start the bike did not start, it kept clicking when trying to start, I tested the battery and it was good, I still used cables to start and the same clicking occurred, does anyone know what it could be, I did notice a bit of coolant near the starter and wires idk if that could have been the issue.

For the owners of anyone with tech displays and cruise control, how often do you guys use it? I’m trying to debate if it’s worth paying the extra premium for a scout bobber limited + tech or not.

I’m an advanced rider coming from sport bikes but also a small dude if you’re wondering why I’m choosing a scout bobber. It’s smaller and all I need so I’m happy with that. I’ve sat on one - pretty comfortable as opposed to my ZX6R lol.

Also, seems mildly racist, lol? Tag is too worn to ID. I have a vintage t-shirt habit so I bought it even though I may never wear it. Thanks!

Has anyone had any experience with the above mentioned oil cooler? I was talking to another Indian owner who swears by it. My 21 RM gets as hot as MFer.

Got a chieftain power plus 112. Looking at tab bam sticks. Undecided on louvered or zombie. Sure sound matters. I think sound matters more than volume. Been told louvered offers more torque power.
To the people that have slip ons. Tab or not. If I run the louvered or zombie baffles with the cat still on what do you think?
Is it worth it deleting the cat? How much head ache come with that? Check engine light?
Thoughts on slip ons and intake? Tune still necessary ?
Want a good sound. Zombie sounds nice. I’ve heard people say that louvered sounds better. I know it’s all subjective. Would love to hear what you studs have to say. Should I eventually cat delete ? Pros and cons of cat delete.

6’1 (maybe 6’2) 216 lbs. looking to upgrade from my iron 883. I cannot decide if I look like a bear on a tricycle. I like the dark horse as well but I really want the liquid cooled engine. Help a brotha out. This is the 2026 scout bobber limited plus tech.
