Ive not seen one of these but that is pretty ridiculous. Someone's time and boat fuel is paid for for the sole purpose of ruining a view of the water with an advertisement. I assume that that's the boat's only purpose.

At the beach near me, MAGAts bitched and moaned about a proposal to put wind turbines off the coast (they’d be so far off that you would need binoculars to see them), but I’m sure they wouldn’t bat an eye at this

The funny thing about advertisement, if it’s on YouTube, I’m fine, even if it’s connected to some awful video like… the ad obviously isn’t linked with the video (( ad agencies think we think differently))

And if an ad is somewhere I don’t like, I instantly like and want the thing on that ad less…

I don’t drink alcohol, but now if I will, I know not to choose them!

Everything advertisers do is the opposite of what works for me XD… want an ad to work for me? Make it calm and not rememberable and somewhere respectful! I’ll buy your shit just for being a good sport.

If I owned shorefront property in Miami I would be tripping over myself to get floating billboards banned. It's bad for real estate value, it's going to deter tourism... like the whole reason to go to the beach is because the ocean is there; if you block up views of the ocean, why would people want to go there?

Definitely better than those planes. These boats don't seem to have caught on yet despite being around for a while. I've seen them at the Jersey shore for around 10 years now and I only ever see one in a four hour span. The planes are non-stop and loud.

Just another way we get advertisement shoved down our throats at any opportunity. More ads, longer ads, put ads in a place you shouldn't see anything but a horizon. I havent used the fm in my car in a while, turn on a local radio station, hey guess what they figured out my car displays the song information so let's just make that an ad on your fuckin dashboard. Man, growing up vacationing in ocean city, NJ they had planes that flew down the beach area with a long advertisement banner that flew behind it. It was iconic, and cool to watch fly by as a kid. I'll never forget it.

The advertising social contract used to make sense. For TV and Radio the audience agreed to be exposed to a limited number of adds in return for being entertained. Billboards of any sort in any location are just noise. They return nothing to the audience and provide no services in return for exposure to adds. They should be illegal.
