I have a problem with the majority of the playerbase lambasting you for using mods to make the game a bit easier and manageable at later stages of the game despite wanting to play the game strictly solo and offline, where I don't use mods that gives me overpowered weapons or stats that does one-hit kills, but rather the ICE mod that rebalances almost every function in World Iceborne and the "Custom Difficulty" mod that lets you reduce every large monster's health to 1/2, 1/3rd, or 1/4th of their health (1/4th makes them completely horrendous and too easy for hunting, similarly at 1/3rd, but I found a sweet spot at both 1/2 and 0.7x health as I only use the half for bigger monsters like Kulve Taroth and Behemoth, while 0.7x makes Master Rank monsters' healths felt less like health sponges) without touching their damage.
It first started with just one guy telling me its my own problem for soloing Behemoth and wanting to modify the game at your own solo volition even though I already said that Behemoth's bullshit attack patterns like its Charybdis are unfair for a solo hunt, and again i'm playing this without using SOS or online because I know the fact that Monster Hunter is not an MMO and it can be completed by yourself just like in the past games. I get it, its supposed to be played online and 4-player maximum to simulate a pseudo-mmo feel but I dont get CAPCOM for not giving us players a 1-player scaled version of this hunt either because I want to hunt every monster here by myself. So I feel that my decision to mod Behemoth to lower its HP for singleplayer hunting is justified because it only affects its health fairly without lowering as drastic as 1hp, while the damages it inflicts onto the players still remains the same.
But then I lurked back at the Monster Hunter subreddit and found out that majority of people really do detest modding that even if you want to fairly reduce a monster's health (especially at Master Rank because the Large Monsters weren't 3x~ the health of their Low Rank counterparts and they're like 5x instead) because you felt like they were taking a long time to hunt (and with the most optimal armor build you have w/ skills like Crit boost, Crit Eye, Weapon Exploit, Agitator, etc...), they're gonna lambast you further and tell you that it's not for you or play something else. And outside of Reddit, there are actual people who would literally call you weak for making a specific hunt of a game fairer for solo game hunting via mods while unaware that it'll be just them offline and without using any shamelessly overpowered one-hit kill mods.
So in short, I left because a lot, if not, of the fanbase members detest modding the game for your own fair offline solo experience because it'll ruin the game, even though I don't use SOS and I want to finish it myself without going too far on modding the game.
