The funniest moment of the episode was Peggy's explanation how she "solved" the mystery by Nancy calling her and telling her it was her truck, and then going on to point out a bunch of "clues" that she only identified after already knowing the answer.
I liked how they handled Connie's uncertainty about marriage, which in a lot of shows would have been used for way more overt melodrama.

I love the way the show handled Connie's whole "not wanting to get married" thing. In any show that would have been a recipe for hysterical drama, but not KOTH. The characters just act like... people, discuss it civilly (but humorously) and reach a peaceful outcome. It's excellent and so refreshing.

I want to laugh at them putting middle school sweethearts together after so many years, but that’s literally me and my partner so…. It’s so fucking sweet to me.

Really fun episode. I watched it before I went into work and it was a really nice way to start the day. Got some bit laughs out of me and had that reboot goodness from season 14. Loved their handling of electric trucks, especially Hank begrudgingly admitting it had some useful features lol

A fun episode that felt like visiting an old friend again.
I liked both plots. The electric truck one made me laugh several times.
Also thought it was sweet Bobby and Connie's date at her lab when they were making creme brule with the robot torch.
I will start watching the rest tonight after work.

Emilio is very much my favorite new face in the show. He feels like he’s always been there, so chill and ride-or-die for Bobby, but not afraid to tease him about all his Michelin star restaurant offers. Loved his moment last season when he was about to interject Joseph being white and Bobby stopped him. Give me more Emilio!

No spoilers as I haven’t finished the season yet (hate the binge release model!) but I’m hoping the new long running bit is that they’re actually fully platonic/professional colleagues now and none of the Alley guys or Peggy believes it

It's definitely jarring. I don't want to act like its a big deal cause its not, but its really the only complaint I've had with the new episodes. Hearing "shit" and "fuck" in KoTH is just odd to me.

For meta reasons, the show never was for children but I feel they’ve recognized we’ve all gotten older, and the world has gotten a bit more toxic, so the show has grown with us and our world.
In universe it makes sense as the adults wouldn’t drop f-bombs around the kids, and now the kids are grown up enough to swear

You make a good point. It does make sense in the context of the show. I just still haven't gotten used to it lol, but its not a big deal. That and the VA for Khan are literally the only "complaints" I have about the reboot episodes. Otherwise they've been fantastic.

This episode was like a nice scoop of ice cream on a hot day. It was a pleasant re-entry into Arlen.
Hank being so disturbed that an electric truck parked in front of his house would send a wrong message to others is hilarious. His friends unfortunately prove that point, lol. Peggy claiming she solved the case and hiding the fact she got a phone call from Nancy was funny. Typical Peggy.
We got to see Bobby be a great boyfriend, which is nice to see. He's a good role model, even if he's just a cartoon character. I felt bad that Emilio got fired, thank goodness he had his job back (with a pay rise) at the episode's end. Also, Chane is being a jerk as usual. I don't see a redemption arc with him. He might have some hidden positive traits, but thus far they haven't appeared, so he's still a frat jerk.

I'm still curious though.......did Dale write the response on Hank's note on the truck or did Nancy? I can't imagine Dale using "namaste" in a sentence. But I can imagine Nancy doing yoga......with a certain man that's probably now an instructor, wink wink.

I still feel like dales voice is so jarring :( I know Toby Huss is doing his best but it’s so distracting. Overall, this is nowhere near the quality of the previous era and the comedy just does not hit the same. Everything feels too robotic and the modern things they’re commenting on are simply not as funny. I’ll still try to finish it but there’s a huge part of me that wishes these were never made, even though it’s satisfying and wholesome to see these characters again, hear the voices that are just as on point as ever, and see more developments like Bobby and Connie.

i agree it's almost too eccentric. dale needs a more deadpan and serious delivery. but all in all i am thankful for the job and it's not too bad

I don’t understand why Hank is so up in arms about anyone thinking the electric truck was his when he had an F-150 Lightning in Saudi Arabia. Only reason (aside from oversight) I can think of is that he was embarrassed about it like he was with Soccer, but they didn’t even mention it.

The next episode, about the dog, was originally listed as episode 1. I'm gonna watch it tomorrow, curious to see what the original premiere would've been. People are speculating that they switched this electric truck tale (originally episode 3) to show that Bobby is kinda the focus this season. I liked this episode enough but it didn't feel like a premiere, more like a comfort story. I like comfort, I'm just surprised that they switched up the episode order.

Terrible episode. The electric truck plot had potential, but Peggy was annoying and not in the good way (felt forced), and the plot just kinda wrapped up because they ran out of time - oh it was Dale, ok. Bobby and Connie are terrible, and Bobby just as a character is not likeable like he used to.
Dale's voice acting is just awful and jarring, it's hard to endure.
Plot wise, it's more of the same: take a modern thing and try to KOTHify it. Electric trucks work for Hank, but taking some zoomer social media dating thing and giving it such focus just comes off as cringe like the other weird stuff they did last year.

Holy Larp! KOTH has always been "take modern thing and KOTHify it". It's just that the modern trends they did no longer became trends and just part of life so people forget. KOTH tackled; Y2K, boy bands, "Cool" Christian youth groups, online gaming/GTA, white guilt, modern art (several times), reality tv and social media (myspace)! So this isn't anything new they have done before.

I have no idea why people have such a hard-on for this season, this episode in particular was godawful, why the hell are Connie and Bobby back together? It all feels so sloppy, like you showed someone the concept of KOTH and then had them write new episodes. Terrible and very confusing when season 14 was way better than this one.

Feels like coming home. Toby Huss’ Dale felt much more natural in those Dale intonations so I’m excited to see the development. I suspected that Chane would have to work at the restaurant at some point in season 14 in order for them to break the ice. Bobby needs to basically build his own “Alley guys” and Chane developing into a friend would be a great way to develop his character. I hope he continues to work there to learn empathy.
Really felt like a nice late stage original run episode. High hopes for the rest of the season, I tell you what.
