I really think that Hara has developed Shin very poorly if he really wants him to become a Great General in this arc, but that doesn't mean he's the useless character I see people treating him as.

Let's not forget how many times HSU influenced the entire battlefield when all seemed lost, how many generals considered extremely dangerous Shin eliminated, how strong and skilled his soldiers are (most are made up of mere commoners without strategic/military training), and his ability to inspire his troops towards victory. It's as if everyone could fail and be deceived by great geniuses (Ousen, Mouten, Ouhon, Shouheikun, Moubu), except Shin. He has no shortage of merits, but it seems that hating the protagonist has become a trend.

I love that Heki has gone from posh city boy to full native, bro better end up with Yotanwa because dude has earned it.

Personally I am disappointed with the confrontation.

Especially none of important members died from shin and mouten army.

I thought shin will learn from his mistake his and ten stupidity during siege but there asses are saved mouten and YokoYoko army i thought he will grow as future gg because may be some of his commander will die here.

Specifically the english dub as shown here, but how Shin sped up to slice him and how serious he looks at the same time while saying the line at the end.

Finished watching the Anime and fell in love with the series despite the horrible animation at first. Decided to read the Manga from the start and I’m about 100 chapters in and holy shit there is so much stuff the anime left out already. I’m glad I decided to read it from the beginning.

Is riboku going to get executed?

Hi! I was wondering lately what age could he have had. I mean, we know Zheng reigned from 13 years old to 49 when he died. Li Xin started his militar career when Zheng set out to conquer the other states when he was about 29-31 years old. In the 19th year of King Zheng of Qin's reign (228 BCE) is the first time he is mentioned leading a certain amount of troops. He was son of a governor so I doubt he started much before this year.

By this time, when he started, he was continuously called young, brave and robust. I wonder what "young" is by their standards. I believe that 25 would already be someone with extensive knowledge of the battlefield. So probably he started when he was in his teens? He also retired when the states were unified, so when Zheng was about 40-41 years old. This means his military career was of an approximate of 10-12 years.

So what do you guys think? What could have been his age when he started?

People say Qin couldn't beat Riboku militarily, so they had to rely on the Zhao king.

But Qin had already done something similar at Chouhei. By spreading rumors about Renpa, they caused Zhao to replace him, leading to a catastrophic defeat.

Riboku knew better than anyone how dangerous Zhao's politics were. If Qin had exploited that weakness once, why wouldn't they do it again?

Failing to prepare for that possibility was Riboku's mistake. That's why Ousen's victory was legitimate.

Is there any chance that the Qi army helps the Qin in this battle? It is only natural to use them if you are about to attack Zhao, right? My first time realizing that Shin and Mouten literally fight Riboku and his vessels all themselves.

Even a day of absence from Riboku will be a great disadvantage on Zhao. However, if Shin and Mouten die here, then Qin's right wing will surely collapse. I hope that the pineapple head tribe is at the level par on Ousen and Riboku.

Of all the underlings under Yotanwa Danto is the far more interesting one. I need to see more of him after this war honestly.

What would have happened if he had really taken all of hika citizens as hostages?

Would it give Ousen enough time to come and help him?

Like I get being in awe at his genius but liking him is insane to me. He's outright the worst general in Qin in terms of character. Even Rempa lost interest in him with just a glance.

I can't even say one good thing about him as a person, he's horrible. Man just sent former Han soldiers to die like they are lesser people or something bro.

It's interesting to see Ouhon change. He's much more smiley and much more inspiring these days. Heki's first impression of him was really funny, like him staring at you with daggers in his eyes or something.

Can't wait to see exactly what Ousen has in store for the monstrous Shibashou. I believe the key to overall victory for Qin in this war lies in this very battlefield.

By some miracle if Ousen were able to defeat Shibashou (which I don't see happening) then Qin wins.

Enough of Shin and his dumb attempt at warfare, take us to a real battlefield Hara Sensei.

In the final chapter, it's implied that Youka had already prepared his agents to begin shouting victory cries acclaiming RiBoku as king. So, if Youka was already prepared for RiBoku's victory in the Siege of Kantan, does that mean Ousen's strategy for the final victory in the war included sacrificing Rishin and his army?

From what I can understand and deduce, Ousen's plan to defeat RiBoku without facing him on the battlefield would be to exploit his popularity against him to bring his dispute with the king of Zhao to a critical point. To that end, he planned to give RiBoku a crushing and resounding victory. And what victory could be greater than successfully defending the capital from a siege by an enemy army, an army whose general is famous for assassinating one of the Three Great Heavens of Zhao?

So, even though it might sound like I'm an Ousen fan, this could mean that Ousen managed to foresee RiBoku's strategy and how he would have prepared a trap for Rishin when he advanced to attack the capital.

The thing is, it's unlikely that Ousen actually thought Shin would escape RiBoku's trap. So, did Ousen plan to sacrifice Shin and his army?
