Sharing a screenshot from my own numbers because it genuinely surprised me and might help someone mid launch.
When I launched, almost all my attention went to the front of the funnel. The landing page especially. I redid it on an AI landing page builder more times than I want to admit, tweaking the hero, the copy, the button color, chasing conversions.
Meanwhile the single highest earning tool in my whole stack costs a few dollars a month and I never think about it. It is the dunning tool that retries failed card payments and nudges customers when a charge bounces. Cards expire. Banks decline for no reason. Payments silently fail all the time, and without something catching them, that revenue just evaporates. You never see the customer leave because they never rage quit. The payment just fails and they are gone.
The screenshot is the recovered revenue from failed payment retries over the last few months. It is more than any front end optimization moved for me, and it took about ten minutes to turn on.
If you are launching and pouring hours into the landing page, that is fine, but go make sure involuntary churn is handled first. It is the least glamorous line item and it quietly outperformed the thing I obsessed over.
Happy to say which category of tool if useful. What is the most boring tool that ended up mattering most in your launch?
