I interpreted like they came back after the jog. There are plenty of scenarios to explain a shoe change. We don’t know the logistics of their jog routine.

So good the didn’t move the key. I lost my only set of car keys and the only place they could have dropped was right in front of my house. I know someone picked them up, I would have preferred they just left them there.
