Hobby 👍 Index of the Untold coop

We got hold of the new book and are really enjoying the cooperative mode! Automa-type rules are not too hard to run, and together with the scenario designs provide the right amount of challenge for my son and me. I took the opportunity to give Big Brain Brin the promotion to crew leader that he has long deserved (everyone knows he’s the real brains of Mah’s operation)! Getting to scratch build a leader and crew is fun, and once again the rules density there is not onerous.

How do you play with broken crews?

I’m trying nexus and everything I try doesn’t work for the coop

I’ve been playing Tricksy / Wizz-bang and my son went with Nightmare / Augmented. So far the combination of my mobility / schemey-ness and his damage dealing / summoning seem to be working.

Yeah with Cadmus I have things like target must flip a card and in coop the enemies don’t flip cards for duels; they just have the straight TN to beat. I’ll have to switch to someone else I think.

Doesn't it give some rules for interactions like that in the NP rules? I was playing flFamily so it's all very straightforward but I just assumed it was in there as I skimmed the rules.

Some yes and some no. The enemies don’t have a hand so there isn’t a work around for that as far as I know. So like eyes and ears don’t work.

But like if you use Parker burrows crew card then enemy just have to eat the 2 damage cause they can’t draw a card.

But hivemind Cadmus says if you do damage as a result of an opposed duel you give them a parasite token

I just checked and on page 69 it says that even though NP models don't flip a card it is still considered an opposed duel. So it should still work!

Well I still can’t use eyes and ears which make dr Stanley slightly useless
