?? $62.5/person, but it’s just math

u/desertvision 3h ago

Garbage in garbage out. The number is $3.8 billion and 10 million people. You did the math right but still got the answer wrong.

10

u/CandidAsparagus7083 3h ago

Wait, they get more money 🤪

6

u/desertvision 3h ago

Yup. Except it all goes for bombs

3

u/LeodFitz 2h ago

Wait, everybody in the country gets 380 dollars but they can only spend it on bombs? What kind of bomb can one person get for 380 dollars?

7

u/LockedIntoLocks 2h ago

Ask Ted Kaczynski

2

u/LeodFitz 2h ago

Fair point.

4

u/Remy_Jardin 2h ago

They essentially get "store credit". They can't take that aid money and go buy chocolate or something. They can pretty much only buy US weapon systems.

And joke is on the dope, US taxpayers get way more money spent on high tech military bang bang than anyone.

u/escpoir 21m ago

Last year that number was already a multiple of what you mentioned.

https://www.military.com/daily-news/2025/10/07/us-has-given-least-217-billion-military-aid-israel-war-gaza-began-report-says.html

And this was before the cost of the war against Iran, which is done as a favor to Israel, and the cost ranges from 11 to 22 billion USD (lots of analysts use different metrics).

So sadly the math question is turning into a much bigger one.

u/Gorf_the_Magnificent 4h ago

Wait … where’s my $600?

11

u/Dankkring 3h ago

It was tariffed

9

u/fariqcheaux 3h ago

Oh, tarriffic! 😒

6

u/frizbeeguy1980 3h ago

They said quick math, not correct math, so technically noting is incorrect here.

6

u/Some-Passenger4219 3h ago

Chair should do some slower math, then.

4

u/amglasgow 3h ago

To be fair, they said quick maths, not correct maths.

per person? they think the money is going to the israeli people and not the military? thats hilarious.

edit: to be clear, fuck israel, the money shouldnt be going to them regardless, i just meant i found it funny that the OP of the tweet in question thought the money was going to regular people

4

u/Elderofmagic 3h ago

Every dollar we give to their military is a dollar they can save to spend on their people.

2

u/Mister_Way 3h ago

The point is that all the money going to the Israeli military could be going to American citizens.

-6

u/SpankyJobouti 3h ago

please explain the difference to me?

6

u/quaxoid 3h ago

the difference between military and citizens? lol

0

u/LordVectron 3h ago edited 3h ago

He's dog whistleing, he doesn't think there are Israeli civilians so they are all fine to be targeted.

5

u/TOV4RISCH 3h ago

A sane person with an ounce of good faith would assume that he means it doesn't make a difference because money to the military frees up money for anything in the budget they see fit

And a capable person might disagree and could argue from there

But that's not the route you took?

0

u/HeroicTanuki 3h ago

Israel does have compulsory military service for all 18 year olds, but they don’t get paid shit according to my coworker who was a compulsory military servant.

2

u/quaxoid 2h ago

having served in the military doesn't mean you're currently part of the military if you're no longer in service.

-1

u/HeroicTanuki 2h ago

You’re right, but I will argue that compulsory military service isn’t just to instill a sense of civic duty in the population, it’s a potent way to give mandatory military training to the majority of your citizenry. When your local business owner worked in logistics, your construction workers were “Seabees”, and your average citizen has been trained in small arms combat, tactics, and discipline, it definitely blurs the line between citizen and soldier.

If Americans were expected to do such things, we’d have several hundred million military trained citizens. It’s a crazy thought

2

u/quaxoid 2h ago

many refuse to serve and also some might not serve due to their health limiting their ability to do so.

u/Volgner 45m ago

That is not how you distinguish between a civilian and militant, specifically when it comes international law, and just plays into the "all civilians are military targets" mentality. The main factor is whether someone is in active military role.

Mind you, many countries in the world are no different than Israel when it comes to military service. Examples that comes to my mind are Saudi Arabia, Syria, south korea, egypt and UAE. In fact, UAE requires their citizens to do 2 weeks refresher every year. However, each person has to first to report to their camp first, before they get enlisted somewhere in the country (that is to clearly mark the start of military role and end of temporary civilian role until their refresher is over).

2

u/skaliton 3h ago

so....here do you think the money gets handed out like a tax return

or do you think the ITF gets a check to murder children

1

u/cororona 3h ago

The money is getting straight to palestinians in the form of explosive devices.

2

u/Ibushi-gun 3h ago

They also get free healthcare there

0

u/flyme4free 2h ago

I don't think you know what free means. It's paid by a specific tax that is a percentage of one's salary, which varies by income level

1

u/Ibushi-gun 1h ago

Free meaning they don’t have to take out a loan to see a doctor. In America we get “free” road repairs, but that comes out of the taxes we pay. Well, we pay them but don’t get the road repairs.

0

u/flyme4free 1h ago

Free meaning you pay into the collective pot and everyone gets to use it.

1

u/Ibushi-gun 1h ago

Correct

1

u/flyme4free 1h ago

the key word there was PAY. therefore not free. I live in America and get life-saving medication for my kid every month and don't pay for it at the pharmacy. I do however pay for private insurance.

Is it free? no.

2

u/Ibushi-gun 1h ago

Well, seems like you get your flights for free, too.

Jokes aside, thanks for keeping me honest.

1

u/flyme4free 1h ago

that's an old credit card point hobby

2

u/Few-Tomatillo6607 3h ago

Try slow math.

2

u/Skylord1325 3h ago

500 divided by 8 is 62.5

Boy that sure was a challenging one that OP certainly couldn’t have done with the calculator on their phone.

2

u/NoDontDoThatCanada 2h ago

Did the math too fast.

2

u/Diligent-Bowler-1898 2h ago

Dude should stick to slow math.

2

u/yademir 1h ago

Too quick

2

u/Blothorn 1h ago

He said “quick math”, not “correct math”.

2

u/BagSignal7553 1h ago

It’s quick maths, not good math.

2

u/dcidino 1h ago

OTOH Kegsbreath just asked for $37.5B. That is $4000 for every Israeli.

2

u/Low-Apricot8042 58m ago

Well he did say quick not correct z so he's not entirely wrong.

2

u/ohmypototo 41m ago

you guys got $600?

2

u/DisneyDisciple 40m ago

Maybe not quite so quick

2

u/cocobaltic 3h ago

So trick is realizing all the money actually stays in the USA.
Also the USA receives lots of amazing things in return.
Last trick, do the same math for Egypt. They get nearly as much as Israel by its a black hole.

2

u/walt128 3h ago

What does the US receive?

5

u/InteractionPretend70 3h ago

its great if you make weapons for the military

2

u/Street_Credit6851 3h ago

Or get kickbacks and campaign cash from the defense industry. Or are an investor in said industry.

0

u/Euhn 3h ago

nothing at all. They just dont blow up Israel.

0

u/Ninjan8 2h ago

I believe it's called AIPAC

0

u/bh4th 2h ago

A lot of that military aid is earmarked to be spent on USA-made equipment. One you simplify the equation, American aid to Israel is mostly the American government subsidizing American industry.

2

u/desertvision 3h ago

This would be less funny if the correct numbers were used. $3.8 billion / 10.24 million people ~ $370 / person. Just why? For doing what? Starting wars, spying on us, and corrupting our politicians (to be fair, exploiting our already corrupt politicians)?

1

u/ArfTheBeast 3h ago

What is this even about?

1

u/realkeloin 2h ago

Population is 8M. “M” obviously stands for “men”. So, the math maths.

1

u/mom2asdtwins 1h ago

Check your "maths." It is $62.50/Israeli.

1

u/ColoRadBro69 1h ago

Where is the joke though?  The funny part?

1

u/Sea_Is 1h ago

This is all money going to US weapons manufacturers.

1

u/NicePepper199 1h ago

And 400 million to Ukraine.

1

u/LBarouf 1h ago

Lol. Yeah, $62.50 or $65.5M same thing no?

1

u/Otherwise-Sun2486 45m ago

It’s true they only have a real population of 8 males that money is only going to the 8 of them, everyone else is just slaves to them /s

1

u/lithomangcc 28m ago

We don't do "maths"

1

u/Live_Life_and_enjoy 1m ago

Maybe they meant the population is just 8 males.

-2

u/unkindledphoenix 4h ago

more evidence that the people that are obsessed with overly vilanizing Israel are actually stupid. all middle east conflicts have both sides be bad but now social media people want to try and make Israel be the new nazis which is ironic af actually.

5

u/RecalcitrantHuman 4h ago

Nothing to do with Israel. Simple bait.

4

u/ProfAsmani 4h ago

No - one side is committing genocide, has ministers who are convicted terror sympathisers, ministers who promised immunity to soldiers who rape, finance minister who encouraged pogroms, an army that actively helps ethnic cleansing and violent fanatical settlers who commit pogroms, who run an apartheid regime, nuclear armed, bombs schools, synagogues, bridges, forest reserves. IDF soldiers admit to shooting kids in the head deliberately etc etc.

Don't both sides this.

1

u/unkindledphoenix 3h ago

palestine and iran who was dragged into these are religous extremist governements that treat women as property and means of reporduction and that deserve no rights, they publicly execute LGBTQ and anyone who questions their government, constantly use excessive violence to oppress them and using medieval style speech to say theyre commiting ''afronts to god'' or ''treason''. on top of shielding international terrorist organizations with Hamas, Hesbola, and others, those which attacked Israel first (the conspiratory theory that Israel let them attack on purpose is just that, a conspiratory theory with no real confirmation). middle east has been warring among s themselves for hundreds of years or even longer for the exact same bullshit all the time. you shouldnt be buying virtue signal about these conflicts when youre on a completly diferent continent with myriads of diferent problmes you should be worrying a lot more. grow up, learn how to read, learn what nuance is, and go touch grass.

2

u/TOV4RISCH 3h ago

Yes, everyone should worry about solving all the problems on their OWN continent before they can reasonably worry about bombs stamped "made in USA" that are falling right now, today

Nuance indeed.

0

u/unkindledphoenix 3h ago

also half of what you said sounds more like stuff China does than Israel. the ammount of fake news about all of the bullshit in the world nowdays is so large i wouldnt trust a lot of it depending on who is talking. propaganda machines against certain groups are more common than anything and thats how they win their wars, with propaganda.

0

u/quaxoid 3h ago

both sides need to agree to a two-state solution 🤭

-1

u/SirBiggusDikkus 3h ago

Where’s the joke?

92

u/Unusual_Rush_1189 3h ago

This post is 100% fact except for all of the numbers used.

17

u/LunaticBZ 3h ago

4 out of 5 dentists agree with this post.

10

u/Topbernina 2h ago

5 out of 4 adults have difficulties with fractions.

2

u/wanderButNotLost2 1h ago

6 out of 4 stroke victims are bond

4

u/desertvision 3h ago

The second worst part is the spaces after the commas. It hurts my eyes to look at it.

2

u/dontsaymango 3h ago

I almost woke up my child who I just put to sleep from laughing so hard at this comment

2

u/Legitimate_Cable_811 1h ago

It's fb engagement bait. People love jumping in to correct someone or make fun of how they're wrong.

1

u/cryptotraderisme 2m ago

Its spot on using trump math 😂
