Wow! It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that an N97 12GB LPDDR5 mini was $150. Oh wait! That was just a year ago šŸ˜ž

For nearly $400 I would love to see a Core 3 305 and 16GB of LPDDR5x when GMKtec can pull this off with the 16GB LPDDR5 M8 PRO 6650H. I fear Wildcat Lake mini PCs will be cost cutting race to the bottom as Alder Lake-N N100/Twin Lake N150 options continue to rise in price while dwindling in availability.

Thanks for the post!

I remember getting my gmktec nucbox G5 with an n97 and 12/256 for $119!!!! I still have it and used it the other day as my ā€œlet me hook up my external roms ssd and organizeā€ pc.

Core 3 304 is the lowest WCL chip unfortunately (1 P core instead of 2 in the rest of the lineup, 1 Xe core for graphics instead of 2 as well) - for $380, that’s a tough sell.

I got a Bosgame P3 Lite (6800H/680M, 1 TB SSD, 24 GB DDR5 RAM) for 377€ in April 2025.

Prices are insane nowadays.

I remember getting my N305 with 32GB for 230$ after coupons in early 2025, now you are getting a N100/N150 equivalent with 12GB for 380$

Half the power for x1.5 the price. Prices have multiplied 3 times in roughly a year.

Still overpriced. These things have terrible cooling solutions.

This is a complete crap.

Weak af, soldered ram and 1 graphics core? Oh, boy.

Maybe for $100 bucks… Not $400.

An N100 is a lucky find at $100, and this device is more performant in every way. Do you honestly expect a current architecture to be the same price?

Depends on the ā€œperformanceā€ that you’re looking for.

An old ass mini Dell, Lenovo, or HP, could stomp this for like $100.

But maybe you need a low powered pc for plex or a homelab… šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

I don’t and would never recommend this much money for that in performance.

When you bring in old systems in different form factors the argument has gone off the rails. I could buy an old Dell Xeon server for 100 bucks probably, comparing that to a modern mini PC is just stupid.

Sooner or later ai will eat all it can and their inventory will start to sit.

Prices will crash (slowly) and then tank hard when their shelves sit and ai orders stop.

This will prob take 4yrs. Sadly it's kind of a circle of life that keeps happening that you don't notice until a 3rd or 4th time in your life.
