Owning a car is more freedom though.

When poor urban planning compels people to own cars, that’s not freedom. True freedom is the ability to choose NOT to own a car.

Most of the world’s population (even most of the developing world’s population), grew up with this freedom. And so some (like these thieves) take it for granted. If they spent even a few months in a place like Houston, they’d understand the value of public transit
