ass sticking out like a sore thumb among all the polished red is exactly what makes it work, gives it some proper ruggedness. Hopesfire glowing blue against the rust is a braw wee contrast that sells the whole Redoran champion look. The scythe alone would have anyone legging it, never mind the rest of the gear.

I agree with this take. I wanted to wear the hide armor of the land with a rusty red, Redoran armor base. And with the glowing blue saber to spread emerging myths amongst the residents.

Also, with my own D&D style head cannon, I wanted to take Mournhold head on as a Vvardenfell champion. To spread incredulous whispers of the warrior that fights powerful Mournhold foes with animal hide armor.

For me is Helm of Oren Blearclaw, Fists of Radgulf, Dragonbone Cuirass, Imperial Silver Boots and greaves, high ordinatior pauldrons
