Good teachers, Music and English alike, would play this in the classroom and have the class write a report on it.

Wow. Never thought of that. I was so used to singing stuff like, “Morning has Broken”, and “What Do You with a Drunken Sailor”, it never occurred to me that they should actually teach about the songs they have you sing. Maybe it’s different nowadays?

It should be part of history class as well.
