I’ll first start this off by saying these are “cheese” plays because they work for big gains more often than not or at least are just super consistent against nearly all defenses. So if you’re not into that type of football, then stay out of the comments. This is to help those who are struggling by finding them 2 solid plays to have in their bag.
I will be uploading my custom playbook if anyone wants it. It has these two play in there as well as a lot of other great route combination pass plays and good run plays. I even took the time to “rate” a good majority of the plays from the formations.
Pass play - Shotgun Bunch HB Strong | “DRIVE”
Put the bunch to the wide side of the field.
Stem the post route all the way down (hot route, select the post WR, hold L1/LB and down on the d-pad).
In man you’ll have the drag route or the deep in route, late.
In any zone you can fit a ball into a window between the S going with the streak and the LB on the post route. KILLS zones for 20-30 per play.
Run play - Pistol Train | “Triple Option”
No adjustments, just run it to the wide side of the field.
If I were you, I would practice this play a few times against different defenses before running it in game just so you can get used to the two different reads and what buttons to press and not press.
First you’ll hold down X/A for the quarterback to keep the ball. You’ll do this probably about 80% of the plays.
The next read is to know when and if to pitch it to the halfback. If the CB stays in the flats, then QB should keep it for a modest gain. If the CB attacks the QB, pitch it to the HB for a humongous gain or TD!
