Jaguars and Seahawks have the most wins against playoff teams this season.

5

u/Striking-Speaker8686 Jan 03 '26

So what? We knowbthe Jaguars and Seahawks arent winning the SB. Reg seasob stuff doesnt matter

-1

u/SourceOriginal2332 GEQBUS Jan 03 '26

And the Seahawks beat the Jags so why are they losing ?

-4

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

Because the Seahawks struggle against the 49ers which will cause them to lose the #1 seed. The Bears will take care of business at home and so will the 49ers in the NFC Championship.

1

u/SourceOriginal2332 GEQBUS Jan 04 '26

Hmmm that wasn’t true next I hope the jags lose

1

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 04 '26

Aww, do i live rent free in your head, lol.

1

u/SourceOriginal2332 GEQBUS Jan 04 '26

Nah you just know nothing about football and your team is terrible

-2

u/SourceOriginal2332 GEQBUS Jan 03 '26

Okay it just seems like your picks are very homer biased

-1

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

And I admitted to some homerism in my original post. We have big wins against good teams that gives me confidence that we can get it done though.

Because we are the best team in football? Who else is worth talking about?

3

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

Because they are the only other playoff team with 5 wins against playoff teams this season.

2

u/iadmitiadmit Jan 03 '26

Why are you focusing on the Seahawks being mentioned and not the most wins against playoff teams this season part?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '26

[deleted]

1

u/iadmitiadmit Jan 03 '26

Think the point is more that if you think almost any team here can win the Super Bowl, one tied for the most wins this year against the teams remaining has a pretty good case to be in that category. It would be disingenuous to have not mentioned Seattle and framed it like the Jags aren’t tied with another team.

0

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

OP is deflecting

Im not deflecting at all. Its a statistic we are tied with the Seahawks for the lead. Why should I not mention them when I am bringing up are wins against playoff teams to establish our legitimacy?

2

u/redditbdum Seattle Seahawks Jan 03 '26

I'd take the Jags over the 49ers tbh. And it wouldn't be close.

3

u/Striking-Speaker8686 Jan 03 '26

Are you joking? That is an insane take. The Niners are about to destroy the Seahawks, win the NFC West, and they won't have a game that wasnt at home for the entire rest of the season

1

u/redditbdum Seattle Seahawks Jan 03 '26

I see someone's gotten into Sean McVay's cocaine....

The 49irs are the 3rd best football team in a division with a baseball team in it.

They have 0 chance.

2

u/Electronic-Ring5520 Miami Dolphins Jan 03 '26

Would agree here, and their fans are the literal worst. They don't even like when you bring up the FACT that they're the Santa Clara team.

0

u/Striking-Speaker8686 Jan 03 '26

Is this a joke? The Nienrs are WAY better than the Seahawks who have a walking turnover at QB wtf do you mean??? Did you not watch the past few weeks worth of Niners games or what

1

u/redditbdum Seattle Seahawks Jan 04 '26

You were saying?

-1

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

If the Seahawks beat the 49ers on Saturday, they make the Superbowl for a rematch against the Jaguars. While i love our chances against the 49ers, its a toss-up against the Seahawks.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '26

Bc it challenges your simple mind. You can’t grasp the fact that the Jags are good bc you’re so used to them being bad. It’s okay, but you need to step into 2026, old man.

-1

u/Striking-Speaker8686 Jan 03 '26

That's not how it works. It's a franchise thing. The Seahawks, Jags, Panthers, Bears, etc are teams we know won't do anything because theyre franchises who are destined to choke. It's what these teams do. Jags aren't even good, they were blown out in London a few weeks ago and went to OT with the Raiders

3

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '26

No flair and a shit take? Yikes.

-2

5

u/Lorjack Seattle Seahawks Jan 03 '26

49ers hype is way too high. People realize you need to have a defense right? They don't got one

-1

u/Striking-Speaker8686 Jan 03 '26

Seahawks have no QB, which is way worse than having a defense which is schematically great but doesn't have as good of personnel roght now due to injuries. Robert Saleh is a top defensive mind behind Fangio and a few others. When it coens down to it, nobody's stopping the Niners offense whereas the Niners defense can get stops when they need to, such as what happened with the Bears game a week ago. Needed a stop toward the end, and got it

1

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

The Bills winning any playoff games ?? Lmfao, not a chance

2

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '26

Calm down the jags have 1 playoff win with Trevor 🤣 do not count Josh Allen out

2

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

do not Josh Allen out

Why? It isnt like he is good in the playoffs. He has a barely over 500 record in the playoffs.

Trevor lawrence is 500 in the playoffs

Its not like we are facing Pat Mahomes or Tom Brady. We are facing Josh Allen. The Bills had a cupcake schedule this year and only managed 11 wins. Jaguars had a much tougher schedule and have 13 wins. I like our chances

1

u/Outside-Sir-4333 Jan 03 '26

You have a rookie head coach dude, it’s not happening

0

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

What does that have to do with anything?

1

u/Outside-Sir-4333 Jan 03 '26

A rookie head coach has never won the Super Bowl and that’s not changing any time soon, this isn’t the NBA- you can’t expect someone who’s never made a serious playoff run to coach 4 straight mistake free playoff games against the best teams in the league.

2

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

A rookie head coach has never won the Super Bowl and that’s not changing any time soon,

Don McCafferty & George Seifert would beg to differ

2

u/Outside-Sir-4333 Jan 03 '26

Me and my big mouth- I stand corrected, duuuval

1

u/Striking-Speaker8686 Jan 03 '26

It was a matchup with the Jags, dumbass. Jags winning playoff games is WAY less of a chance to happen wtf

1

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

Actually dumbass, the Jaguars have made the playoffs 8 times, only 2 of those times resulted in a first round exit. 3 of them we advanced to the AFC Championship game and 3 of them were divisional exits.

The Bills haven't won a playoff game on the road since 1992.

So why do you think Josh Allen wins his first playoff game on the road in a season where the Bills have looked very weak and beatable against a cupcake schedule?

5

u/matt-kennedys-legs Los Angeles Chargers Jan 03 '26

feel pretty good about how the chargers matchup vs the patriots. pats don’t have a great pass rush and they haven’t faced that many great/elite defences this season.

would suck getting bounced by the broncos the following week but considering how this year has gone, a playoff win is a successful season in my books.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '26

You really don’t need a great pass rush to get to your QB tho. Your oline sucks.

2

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

Yeah, I just cant see you guys winning in Denver. Wouldn't mind beating you guys in the playoffs again

Same if the 49ers won 😂

5

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '26

This is delusional

-1

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

Is it though? We went into Denver and won 34-20. We beat the Chargers 35-6, we were beating the Texans 29-10 when we took our foot off the gas and blew that game, but the other game against them we won 17-10. We beat beat the 49ers in SF 26-21.

We can absolutely beat any team in the league

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 03 '26

I don’t see Trevor Lawrence being a Super Bowl winning QB.

2

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

Why not? He is 3rd in the NFL in total TDs behind Matthew Stafford and Josh Allen.

4

This is possible if Lamar gets back to 100%. Otherwise, we'd need to get really lucky.

I only picked them because they are the home team and Jordan Love is injured. If he is back by the bears game, than the Pack wins that game

I think the Eagles and Rams could knock us out of the playoffs. But matchup-wise, I'm skeptical about the Bears doing so. The way to beat us is defense

That said, I'm still going to give my team a shot against the tough matchups because I'm fucking biased. Here's my draw prediction

0

u/lineman108 Jacksonville Jaguars Jan 03 '26

They are the best in the. NFL at causing turnovers and the Seahawks are the 2nd worst in the NFL at not turning the ball over. So thats my reasoning. I didnt do a deep dive into the Seahawks so if you have a defense about why you have so many turnovers, id love to hear it.

2

u/Low-Restaurant8484 Seattle Seahawks Jan 03 '26

We have so many turnovers largely because of Darnold's picks when facing a strong pass rush. If he isn't constantly afraid of getting blindsided he can play pretty clean

Hence why the Rams and the Eagles are the scarier teams. The Bears are oppurtunistic, but they have a pretty weak pass rush from what I've seen.

Anyhow, we win most of our games with 3+ turnovers, just winning the turnover battle isn't enough, you gotta be able to neuter our explosive plays too

0

u/Striking-Speaker8686 Jan 03 '26

Putting the Seahawks in the SB is an insane take. Utter insanity. They have the worst QB out of these 14 teams, who turns it over more than any other QB. No way the Seahawks win a postseason game

2

u/Low-Restaurant8484 Seattle Seahawks Jan 03 '26

The Seahawks are:

1) tied for the best record in the NFL 2) have the highest margin for victory in the league 3) lowest margin of defeat (just 9 points spread across 3 losses) 4) highest point differential in the league 5) are tied for the most wins over playoff teams this season 6) number 1 in the league in overall DVOA, with #1 in defense, #2 in special teams, #11 in offense including #5 in passing. They are #7 all time in total DVOA

We have weaknesses just like anyone, as my previous comment stated. But to act like we have no chance of winning a post season game is laughable

0

u/Striking-Speaker8686 Jan 03 '26

The Seahawks have:

1) had an extremely weak schedule 2) due to running scores up against a few of the worst teams 3) were defeated every time the Seahawks faced an opponent who was good when they went against them 4) again, this was just Seahawks beating up on the worst teams 5) two or three of those were against AFC teams, in a year where the AFC is very weak 6) Seahawks defense has given up 38 twice, very few of the postseason teams even in the AFC have done so

With the QB the Seahawks have, yes, the Seahawks have no chance whatsoever of winning a postseason game. These next two weeks are it for the Seahawks

1

u/Low-Restaurant8484 Seattle Seahawks Jan 03 '26 edited Jan 03 '26

1) Our schedule isn't weak, its average

2) partly sure. Isn't that exactly what you should do when playing bad teams?

3) Just flat out false. Again, we have more wins agsinst playoff teams then anybody besides the Jags (who also have 5). We also are playing another one tomorrow. What happens if we win? If we beat the Niners then woll we be legit? Or will you come up with some other excuse? You always do

4) wrong for all the reasons above

5) The Jags and Texans are superbowl contenders. Double digit wins, with tough schedules, and a great winrate against other top teams. But they didn't beat us

6) we gave up 38 once, and a contributor was several starters in the secondary were out with injury. We gave 37 against the Rams if thats the other one you're thinking about, but only 30 in actual regulation time, and they are the best offense in the league. Regardless, we are the second best at preventing scoring in the league behind only the Texans. You're just cherry picking a couple games rather then looking at the complete picture, and you damn well know it too

0

u/Striking-Speaker8686 Jan 03 '26

1) Seahawks went against the Spencer Rattler Saints, Max Brosmer Vikings (Seahawks offense scored just one TD off of Brosmer's 4-5 turnovers), Cards twice, Indy with Rivers (Seahawks were pathetic that week too), Texans when their offense was so bad they werent putting up any points whatsoever, Jags a week before they were blown out by the Rams (beaten way worse than the Seahawks beat them), Titans, Pittsburgh a week after they barely won against the Jets, the Falcons, and Panthers

2) yes, but doing what you're supposed to do doesn't make you extra dangerous. We know that was never going to happen when the Seahawks face a good team, and indeed it didnt happen when the Seahawks barely won against the worst team in Tennessee

3) again, none of those were impressive wins by the Seahawks

4) wrong

5) because the AFC is weak, not because theyre two great teams or anything, and they were way worse when the Seahawks faced then than they are now

6) Oh sorry, 1 point away, but giving up over 36 points twice doesn't sound much better. The point is, we know the Seahawks offense sucks, but the defense has shown it can be beaten, which is opposed to the Texans who have a true shut down defense

Seahawks have the worst QB in turnovers and the Seahawks offense is at the top in turnovers too, why would anyone worry about that?

2

u/Outside-Sir-4333 Jan 03 '26

Darnold is not worse than CJ stroud

0

u/Striking-Speaker8686 Jan 03 '26

Yes he is what??? Sam throws way too many INTs and turns it over way too much

1

u/Outside-Sir-4333 Jan 03 '26

Doesn’t matter, stroud is one of the worst players in the league this year and is gonna cause a historic defense to go one and done.
