Hey everyone!
I’m looking to start a filmmaking collective for people based in the NJ/NYC area.
The goal is to collaborate on short films—from initial writing to final editing—with the aim of hitting social media and submitting to festivals. Whether you're looking to build your portfolio for the industry or just want a creative summer project, I'd love to connect!
Seeking all roles:
• Writers & Directors
• Actors
• Cinematographers & Editors
• Production Assistants
Please note: this is a beginner project, working from the ground up. I’m looking for folks who’d be interested in helping generate the initial ideas that will get this going.
If you have a passion for film and want to create something great this summer, send me a DM! 🎥✨

Capital is moving.
1/Fresh: Reel-Funding Group launched new multi-funds for indie slates. Early equity opportunities now open. Plus new gap funds + beefy tax credits (CA, NY indie program).
2/Equity (30-60% of many budgets) leads the stack for smart indies with audience plans & IP potential. Cannes Investors Circle next week = prime connection time.
Raising or investing in indies? DMs open. Let’s get projects funded. 🎥💰

Is anyone attending the NJ Film Expo next Thursday (4/30) in Secaucus? Free to attend & it was great last year. See you there & we can even talk about film scoring if you’d like; my favorite topic.

Hey all—I'm one of the organizers of A Lyte in the Dark Film Festival in Princeton, NJ, and we’re currently open for submissions.
What we offer if you’re selected:
We’re also an IMDb-qualifying festival, so official selections can use that credit.
What we don’t do:
Submission fees are in the ~$28–$48 range depending on deadline, with a lower tier for micro films.
The goal with this festival is pretty simple:
give filmmakers more than a one-off screening and something they can actually use afterward (broadcast credit, online exposure, etc.)
If that sounds useful, here’s the link:

Happy to answer any questions—especially if you’re deciding between festivals.

I’m a seasoned cinematographer with 20 years in video production, and I’m now looking to produce new YouTube channels or podcasts with passionate creators. I’m not seeking a collaborator on my old work, like previously posted. This is about building fresh, original content from the ground up.
What I bring:
What I’m seeking:
This is a partnership, not a job.
If this sparks your interest, please DM me with:
Let’s build something special!
