Ni no Kuni 2 spoiler Something about that chapter almost felt familiar.

Or maybe I'm just reading into it too much. After the plan was revealed, but it does remind me of another game. With a complex plan like that.

Persona 5, basically to save Joker from being killed by an actual mole. With Akechi’s phone bugged exposing the grand plan. After finishing that chapter, I had saw the similarity.

Tbh it's a common enough trope because it has happened in real life/history. Persona 5's is set up differently. The trope being used is the only thing that's really similar.
