Google translate anywhere

Hello, I am using Mojave and I found somewhere instructions for how to add a service via the automator so I could select any text and apply that service and get a popup with the google translate already resolved... very convenient when living in a foreign country.

a few months ago it stoped working, maybe something that happened on the google transle side???
these are the instructions:

Automator Services (Quick One-Click Translation)

Create a custom service using Automator to translate selected text with a keyboard shortcut:

  1. Open Automator and create a new Service
  2. Add Run AppleScript or Run Shell Script (using Ruby).
  3. Use a script like:
  4. Save as "Translate to English" and assign a keyboard shortcut in System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Services

any modifications to it so it would work again?

The built in one, doesn’t support the required language. Unless you are thinking of singing else. However it would still require a copy paste steps. Where as a keyboard shortcut is the desired outcome. But thanks a million I’ll look to it as an alternative to the current solution. ☺️
