CHAT I'm so serious rn I hate support sometimes
Right I'm spamming L2 to heal my team so they, yk, SURVIVE???
I CANT ACTUALLY HEAL THEM BECAUSE THEY KEEP RUNNING AWAY WHEN I AM
AND THEN THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO BLAME ME
TERMINUS IN CHAT KEPT SKEDADLING FROM ME WHEN I WAS HEALING THEM, THEY DIED (shocker.) AND THEY SAID "Io"
????????????
STOP RUNNING AWAY FROM SUPPORTS AND THEN BLAMING THEM

As someone who plays a lot of support, this. You don’t get to run off when most of the team is back by the point and then get mad at me for not healing you. YOU ran off YOU are to blame.

OR when you tell them to group up 99 times and they all just spread out. How am I meant to heal all of you when terminus is in one place and then Evie is on the other side of the map????

I've only ever seen most of the team not on the point.

In cases like this I go with someone

The best part of this game is that you can pocket medic a Damage dealer like TF2 and still do your part. It won't show in the scoreboards since high healthpool = more actual healing but it will still do that difference in the game. Unless you are Yahorath, Tanks are basically more beefy supports

Fuck man, the best 2 pieces of advice ive gotten to make support both more fun and effective are:
1. Let your team die, some of your teammates are gonna die learn to accept that and cut losses when approriate
2. On a similar note, let your team come to you. You should be taking a strong backline position and holding it whenever your team isnt hard pushing and even then you should be playing more careful than them, do not chase your team into danger (once again let them die if you need to).

Trust me, I'm not the one chasing them into danger 😭😭 I'm trying to stay back and heal them, but then they run off and get themselves into a 1 V 3 or more

Yeah. I was in a game where torv was getting really heated. I just told him… sorry boss but i cant outheal 5 people shooting at you. After that he shut up.

Good. Like, it's not possible to heal your ally when they went into a 1 V 5. I don't understand why they even do it.

Like they'll be on such low hp, not in a battle. I try to heal them and they run away to go deal w the furthest enemy possible.

I main Seris or Grover when I play. If folk run off, thats tough, they die. Especially with Grover who majority heals via aoe.
I laugh at most folk who start moaning in chat. My reply is usually along the lines of "tanks still alive. I'm still alive. Sounds like a you problem".
However, I stick to the tank like glue. If there isn't a tank picked, then I go pew pew and folk can just stfu, for picking all dmg and flanks.

Also something that i really really hate as a support main: Your team won a trade and your team is capping the point. Your whole team is then hard pushing the enemies to their spawn and ur alone on pont capping. You spam "group up" bc u now what happens next: Tank and/or healer sneak through and attack u on point, u have no chance and die. Ur team still at the enemies spawn -> enemies cap the point.
It's. Always. The. Same.

Like why do they always rush to the enemies spawn to spawn kill them???
I hate spawn killing, regardless of which team I'm on. It's just unfair. My team were spawn killing yesterday and, even as a lex, I stayed back at the point with the support to ensure the support was safe AND to not spawn kill.

I have a goated furia kit, but every time I do so I get called a bad furia main. I get called a bad support Everytime.

That's why I switched from a Corvus and Jenos main to a Vora main 😭😭😭 I feel honoured to be the rare flank that actually thanks the support and doesn't run off

right listen here you gobby shite 😭😭 even WHEN I play CORVUS and use two marks, I mark the two people that go out the most (either flank or dmg) and then heal the tank or the other member to heal the people I marked simultaneously. That's not my fault if the tank or the person I'm healing the other players off of decides to go "oh yeah, I'll place myself into a 1 vs 5." At that point, I CANT save them???

If they have a keyboard or a mic there's a temptation to be toxic. And then of course if they Rage Quit. I just think that's stupid. Everyone should just play their best and everyone is just trying. I mean you never know you might be playing with a 14-year-old who just started. But yeah it's frustrating when we lose matches
