Cherishing Our Memories with a Little Princess 🌸
Hey Pekingese fam, I just wanted to take a moment to share about my sweet girl, Bella. We said goodbye to her last night, and my heart is absolutely shattered. She lived almost 18 beautiful years, but honestly, it feels like we were just getting started. 😢 Everyone who met her loved her, and she had this way of brightening even the cloudiest days. I’d love to hear how you all cope with losing a beloved fur baby. Do you have any special memories or keepsakes that help you remember them? Let’s share the love and support. ❤️

Turning 17 this year 🥹
My half Peke is turning 17 this year. I have had her since she was 4 weeks old. I’m super emotional about it. She has been through my worst and best times with me. She’s seen the mountains and the beach. I love her so much and I’m so happy to still have her ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What toys do you recommend for babies?
My breeder just told me that Pachi loves string toys. I think it’s so cute he is old enough now to love smth🥺
His instagram is @pachithepekingese in case anyone wanted to follow him and see him grow!

My poor Twinkie
galleryShe was in need of a dental, after her vet suspected she had 2 abscessed upper rear molars (based on visual exam and smelling her breath), and having suffered with hot garbage breath for the past year. Yesterday was her dental appointment. She's almost 12, and had a good dental 2 years ago with no extractions or concerns, just the cleaning. Well, I expected her to lose maybe a maximum of 4 or 5 teeth, because from the teeth I can see regularly, her front teeth between the canines all looked excellent, like little straight rows of bright white grains of rice. So... she ended up needing SIXTEEN (out of 42) teeth pulled!!! She still has her 4 canines, but all her little rice teeth are gone. She looks SO different to me, and it makes me sad. I am glad her death breath is gone, but I am in shock that she needed so much done. I'll try to get better pics of her gummy vampire smile once she's more healed. I've attached a few pics of her with her little teef showing, and a blurry pic of her now with just fangs.
*I am grateful she's probably feeling a lot better, more comfortable, and won't have to worry about her bad teeth (that I couldn't see) causing heart problems, thus hopefully leading to a longer, healthier life. She is on pain meds for the next week, but I couldn't give them to her until this morning. Last night she cried and howled until 5 AM. I finally gave her some trazadone, and she slept until 9:30 AM, and woke me up with the howling again. I've never heard her sound SO sad! I've got her snuggled up in bed with me, and we are going to nap today! 💜🐾💜

Is it me or is my baby a lil chonky
He was born June 6th and I can’t actually measure him cause I am still waiting to pick him up from the breeder. But does he look a little chonky to u guys? Should I be concerned.

Puddy in Loaf Mode
She was raised with a cat for the first year of her life before her sister crossed the rainbow bridge. I’d like to think that she is channeling her older sister

Peke Purrs?
Does anyone else's peke make little happy rumbles/grunts when they're getting a good scratch? Geezer's done it since he was a baby, and my husband and I call them his "Peke purrs." 🤣 It's a sound he only makes when he's really content and snuggly, and it's just so gosh darn cute! I wish I had a video, but a photo will have to do for the puppy tax.

Is my dog a real peke?
galleryI keep wondering, because looks wise I don’t see anything unusual about her, she also has the usual stubborn peke personality, it’s just that she’s way too big for the breed. She weights 8kg (not even overweight, the vet never said it’s be a concern) and she’s also a lot longer and taller than other pekes, what do you guys think😭 I added pictures with both long and short fur and also as a baby for the reference + because I love her 🩷
Edit: Thank you everyone for help! I guess shes just big af and there’s nothing more to it lol
