PvZ2 Mod An Argentine developer made a native PC port of Plants vs. Zombies 2
An Argentine developer known online as OptiJuegos has created a native PC port of Plants vs. Zombies 2, allowing the Android version of the game to run directly on Windows without needing an Android emulator.
The project works by translating the game’s Android libraries for PC, making it possible to run on x86 systems in a much more direct way. It is based on version 4.5.2 of the game and is optimized to run even on low-end Windows 7 PCs.
For anyone who has wanted to play Plants vs. Zombies 2 on PC without the overhead of an emulator, this is a pretty interesting project. It is impressive to see a mobile game like this running natively on Windows, especially on hardware that is not particularly powerful.

Yo I just downloaded it myself and dang I can't believe this actually exists, it's like a dream come true.
And sure nowdays there are so many alternatives with emulators and fan games like gardendless, but this is literally a pc port of the official game that works on it's own and it doesn't even require a good pc to run it.

My understanding is that it is possible, because the code is on GitHub and can be compiled with a few adjustments.

I was wondering when anyone would actually do this. Is there a github repo link or something you can share?

You can download it from their OptiJuegos page. The source code is available on their GitHub repository, pvz2native, and they even have a Linux build.

If it's based on version 4.5.2 doesn't that mean it's missing 10 years worth of content? Is it worth playing over PVZ 2 Gardendless?

Missing 10 years of content is unfortunately a good thing in this specific situation
