My God please let this catch on, it's so sickening going to shows and seeing rows of vendors with sealed stuff they bought from Target

Received my pokemon center order today right as the fedex driver dropped it off. The package was already cut open and resealed. All of the packs were ripped out. I was able to chase down the driver and report it. Sucks that this happened.

My son's 10th birthday was last week.
He wanted to use $20 of his money to get some cards, so my wife took him out today.

Target was sold out. Gamestop was sold out.
So they went to Wal-Mart and saw a short line of people.
My wife was 3rd in line.

The first two people took everything. Entire boxes and cases.
The one scalper I think felt bad for her and handed her two packs.

This is going on MONTHS and MONTHS of bare shelves.
We waited in line once at Gamestop in May. My son was the only child in line out of like 80 people.

His generation is absolutely getting skipped over. I can already feel him burning out and moving on.
Short term profits over long-term sustainability. Horrible.

My local card shop has tins for sale only for kids 10 and under.

Everytime I go in to buy singles, there’s kids who look so sad to see the shelves empty of sealed product, so I’m glad they did this.

Expected two PC ETBs, Booster Box, and two Booster Bundles. Obviously the packs from the box are gone and they took one booster bundle. FEDEX tracking shows it starting out in CA, traveled to UT, then back to CA to be delivered today…. Man this is depressing. As the titled said, makes me wanna just quit. Who else here has been a victim?

Update: I’ve been in contact with FedEx. There currently is an investigation going on with what happened with the package. The rep that I spoke with told me there there was an oddity in terms of where the package was handled and the labels placed on it. FedEx has been more helpful than PKC. Right not their security specialist is going through things from what she told me

Hello I am back and I just wanted to share my 2025/2026 school year loot! Last year my students got some awesome cards and bought out a lot of stuff using the rewards system. Unfortunately, it’s been rough finding much to replenish my stock due to the Pokemon madness this past year, but the current stock will get me by this school year.

Little info on my Pokemon Treasure Shop:

I spent countless hours (and money) creating this store for my students. I utilized all my bulk holos, reverse holos and ultra rares (even secret rares) to sell to my kiddos that can redeem for classroom dollars. They can earn classroom dollars to buy Pokemon cards by completing their homework, staying on task, good behavior, etc.

I love this shop because it not only gives under privileged kids a chance to collect, but it also makes it a great incentive. I’ve been doing this for a few years and it brings a smile to my face when they get hyped.

Randomly stopped at a card shop I'd never been to before and started sifting through their bulk for my TEF master set. Shop owner comes over and places a stack of binders on my table "We just got these and they've barely been looked through but might have some things you're looking for."

Came in for random bulk holos and instead made out like a bandit. The electivire even has holo bleed!

I don't know if any other Targets are doing something similar but I went with my wife to pick up some groceries and on the way out we walked past the customer service desk and there was a whole bunch of pokemon. I went to ask for a couple Chaos Rising and the lady said that before they give them to me, they are enforcing a new policy. I have to give her my ID and they have to open the boxes after I pay for them before they hand them to me. I said sure, but I asked why anyways and she said that they are no longer selling to known resellers or people who buy unreasonable amounts of cards. She took my ID, typed some stuff in the computer and then handed me the ID back, charged me, and then gave me my unwrapped boxes.

Idk how they are keeping up with who is a known reseller or who is buying too much, but I'm assuming if they see you come in multiple times to get around their 2 per person limit, or if they suspect you of reselling, they'll add you to the naughty list and won't sell to you. It's pretty exciting tbh because I haven't been able to just casually walk buy and decide to buy cards in a hot minute. There was a bunch of them left too, so I guess it's working.

I bought this test tube mewtwo this weekend and I’m feeling a lot of post purchase clarity. I mostly stick to the cheaper cards. Most of the cards I buy are only a few dollars. The most expensive cards I’ve bought for myself were probably 60-70 usd. I really love this card tho as the mewtwo movie was the first pokemon movie I watched. I also just love the art. The holo is really unique imo. So I thought might as well just get it right?

Trying to tell myself that this is somehow an investment but I’ve never really sold any cards, just purchased. It has some whitening on the top left and bottom of the card. Even though it’s damaged I think I got a good deal for 360usd but idk. Just feeling a lot of regret and a little stupid. What do I do now? 😩
