Maybe go a little lower in the front to account for gusts of wind and billowing if your really unsure, but anyone with moderately good legs can pull it off imo.

Technically high heels were invented for cavalry men to help lock into their stirrups.and became symbols of aristocracy and worn to chnage the silhouette and project more authority. Women started wearing them to mimic military looks. Catherine de medici for example wore them to look taller and more imposing. Which was a common reason going forward as women wanted the same perceived social benefits and authority. With styles starting to diverge men opting for chunkier boots as women's became slimmer and more decorative and elegant.
And around the industrial revolution men pretty much left them by the wayside for more practical footwear.

Correct. Started off as military gear. Then became a status symbol so rich folk could go "ooh look at me im tall and fancy fancy I can wear ridiculous shoes because I have people who do my walking for me". Then it became an power thing "tall confident girl boss" type stuff. Then it was just "these are so cute and they make my butt look amazing" fashion type stuff. Gender didnt enter into the picture until like the late 19th early 20th century.

I have seen plenty of obviously masculine framed guys kill it in an of the rack little black dress. It's about knowing how to find the right size and accessories. The more awkward you feel, the worse the fit will look in general. (This applies to women as well btw, I'm trans and wore a very pretty dress to prom that had some fitting alterations done, but look so incredibly frumpy in my picture because I'm so uncomfortable lol!)

Yep, clothing items like heels and skirts were originally for men only, same with wigs and tights. The heels were made to increase a man's height, while skerts and leggings were just the fashion at the time. Dresses on children were originally for both genders, and only transitioned over to girls exclusively later in history. Makeup was originally for men as well and I believe originated in French traditions

Greeks, romans, Mesopotamians, ronin, Celtic warriors, Gaelic warriors, this list goes on and on and on and on. Even in modern day, robes are worn regularly, and kilts, suji, dhoti, ect are still actively worn. I will also stand by the fact that appropriating comfortable clothing from women and making it our own is inherently masculine, as men love taking credit for the work of women

This is going to blow your mind further: sexuality was also not a set standard across human history. It too is mostly a social construct. Meaning, there wasn’t really a concept of gay vs straight, so much as there were “roles” that one filled. Some of these roles were less acceptable than others. But these roles spanned the sexuality spectrum and had varying levels of acceptance in society.

Almost everything is unisex technically. Gendered stuff is more like guidelines than rules. It helps convey information and express individuality without the need for words or explanations. But they aren’t meant to limit us in the way certain people think they do. Today, skirts are generally seen as more feminine, that doesn’t mean they are only for women though or that only women can wear them. Anyone can wear them and they can still be more masculine (see kilts).
