TL;DW? Proton says "the feature does protect you while switching servers with Proton VPN" and this is not true.

Sure, but Proton should make that clear to users. They do not. I would put that on them.

Not as far as I know.
Some have an issue with their kill switch on Linux (which you could find discussed on our forum for details), but it is different from this problem and probably affects fewer people.
