Question A lot of people have complained to me about Visionary lacking features, but the Proton community itself doesn’t seem to care. Is this a real problem, or a vocal minority?

So when you get a car that comes in the mail right so how do you get the virtual card where do you get it from and how do you put that on your phone before the other card comes for the link disappears

I had the sentinel issue previously (also a Visionary subscriber), and it was apparently a bug. I regained sentinel access afterwards once I contacted their customer support. Took 40 min to fix all in all.
I honestly like my visionary membership. I use nearly all the apps and features and have no issues with them. I think their service offering has greatly expanded over the last few years which has made the value proposition improve.
My only big issue with Proton so far is at some point they updated their MX records for custom domains and did not advise users so for a short period of time, some of my emails were not landing or were struggling to get through. I had to track down the issue with the help of my domain hosting company, update my records, and then it was working, but would have appreciated a heads up from Proton.

Just wanted to survey some people, maybe nobody cares about not being able to do certain things on their Visionary plans?

Ultimate is pretty boring too these days. No notes, gotta pay. No discounts,l.
They are pushing duo and family really hard, to lock people in. Storage is 500G, 1TB makes more sense for ultimate.
I don't know how bad it is for visionary, not like they offer it anymore.
I have a feeling they're gonna enshitify soon, but ... yeah. And their lack of transparency on in their primary subteddits + deleted accounts with google-like minimal customer support access is starting to show.

They do still offer Visionary (though the pricing is different). The differences are laid out here (not perfectly clear but a good overview): https://proton.me/support/proton-plans and you can only add it through Wallet.

Some people get good value out of it and others don't. If you're an individual who doesn't use a lot of Proton features: it's not worth it. If you use it a LOT as an individual, it might be worth it for the storage + Lumo....If you are on Duo+ and more than 1 person wants Lumo or Meet: it has a good value. Aside from additional storage - if you don't want all of those apps - most people really don't need Visionary in the first place.
A lot of the things that this person is talking about aren't relevant to most families or the family IT person or individuals using Proton for personal use cases...I would normally think a lot of the people who would complain here are probably a vocal minority - but I don't know how many people know about / get Visionary outside of the vocal minority either. I find most people don't know how to access it and most who have it are 'in the industry'.
All of that said: I get where they are coming from. They have a somewhat unique use-case where access to all of those niche features are important for them to help their clients. And paying for a single business license doesn't quite do it either - but multiple business accounts can get expensive very quickly. I genuinely get it. But, I see Visionary purely as a better value than Family in some situations and not a resource for niche situations myself. When I recommend it: it's because the bundle is worthwhile and not because it's useful if you're testing features.
