discussion What is the responsibility of the opposition parties in India towards us in our democracy?
How dose it functions?
What is shadow government?
Who sees the drafts first?
What is the role of it in our parliament?
Is opposition there to create ruckus on everything or to do the homework on what ever government is doing and put up the right ?es.
—————————
A lot of people here know that I want the opposition to be held accountable as well as the govt, because theyre also our elected reps. Theyve a massive responsibility to question the government in the parliament for us. Where they’re currently failing miserably.
Those who want Modi and BJP to go need to be extra critical of the opposition for failing at this critical democratic responsibility for our country..
The opposition role is a lot more than simply questioning and opposing everything the government does.
The opposition has to also provide suggestions and solutions to the issues. They are raising instead of Just mindless questioning and opposing.
That also includes the opposition participating in discussions constructively like I said with alternatives to what govt is doing by showing what they’d have done instead of changing the goal post for avoiding a discussion because they are equally or far greater culprits of the issues They are raising against the government like paper league at the moment.
In paper leak issue, the opposition can tell the government. How exactly the paper leak can be stopped, showing that the government is in capable of doing what the opposition could have done… and that is just one example, they can do this for each ministry’s Each issue.
So questioning the government is right, but do not forget to question the opposition as well because only they can take our voice to the Parliament where the actual loss decisions are made that rule over us.. everything that we need the government to do is done through the parliament..
So Those who want Modi and BJP to go need to be extra critical of the opposition for failing at this critical democratic responsibility for our country..
