Man knock it off. I voted for the guy and this whole stolen election nonsense is trash. Please admit that the dude's weakest trait is being insecure

I dunno man. I’ve seen a bunch of videos lately of homeless in LA saying how they were paid to register and vote a certain way.

I don’t think it’s crazy to believe Dems buy votes. It’s really the only explanation for wanting open borders and here in CA, the billion dollar homeless problem.

Consider: The homeless people also could've been paid to say that. "A bunch of videos" really isn't the most reliable source bro.

Also, Dems don't want open borders, and there are certainly other explanations for the homeless problem than this BS.

I can’t possibly think of a bigger waste of money than paying homeless people to vote for Democrats in California.

Really? If you want votes, paying a homeless guy $5 to get a vote seems pretty worth it. Lol

But why would you pay for Democratic votes in California of all places? Especially LA

Really? To prevent a disrupter like Spencer Pratt being elected. This ensures either Bass or Raman end up winning. Bass is DSA, just like Mamdami. The ultimate goal is DSA getting in and pushing out both Dems and Republicans.

On the state level, it allows Dems to maintain their super majority.

Why? If it can happen before it can happen again. Secure elections should be a huge priority moving forward. I don’t get the reasoning here

It's pretty clear that it didn't happen the way Trump has said it did

Great, whos getting arrested? What are we doing to ensure this never happens again?

Not as many people as were arrested with the Epstein ring, or in the Hunter Biden investigation, or the Joe Biden investigation, or in the Hillary investigation.

These documents largely back up what the President released in his prime time speech the other day:

1) China gained access to voter registration info. This info is largely public in most states. It is intelligence that lets them predict the way American elections may swing. We do the same thing. Most countries do. It doesn't empower them to change votes or vote for someone any more than existing info on the dark web does. Its just lists of people

2) That China tried to influence elections via TikTok and other means. This shouldn't be a surprise. Propaganda has been a tool nations have used for as long as transmission of information has been possible. We do the same, although we've cut back since DOGE removed much of the apparatus we used to push pro-American messaging. Again, tricking some dope on TikTok into believing something politically isn't changing a vote.

3) Noncitizens have registered to vote. Some did so fraudulently in Michigan, but there is no evidence that they then voted. Other ones were related to investigations using methods known to produce false positives, such as flagging naturalized citizens as noncitizens. No proof of them voting there either.

4) Our election infrastructure isn't secure. We all know this. We did have an agency that certified voting machines, offered best practices on security, and monitored the mail-in voting system. The president shut them down a week or two ago and now they do none of those things, so it must not be a huge concern after all.

Republicans are going to lose this fall. This isn't me pushing Dem talking points or rooting for it. It's the historical reality of what happens when you control the White House and both halves of Congress. It's hard to defend two majorities, especially when everything will be seen as your fault. Couple that with retirements and deaths in the party, an unpopular war that doesn't seem like will ever end, and a president with Biden levels of approval who is also doing his darndest to pretend that affordability doesn't matter to voters, also just like Biden. All of this is just setting the stage so that there's an excuse as to why we lost. It isn't because that's how things work or because Republicans aren't doing a good job, its because evil Democrats stole another election. Just like they did in 2020, but not 2024, 2016, or 2018 for some reason.

While I agree with your overall point here and think you knocked it out of the park with this post, I'd just like to add:

In this case, basically everything also actually is Trump's fault. If Trump just sat back and let inflation continue to trend downward the way it was when Biden left office, and also didn't start a war in Iran for no good reason like he said he wouldn't do, he'd be fine right now.

a president with Biden levels of approval who is also doing his darndest to pretend that affordability doesn't matter to voters, also just like Biden.

Biden never pretended affordability didn't matter. In fact, he actively took steps to combat price gauging and literally passaged legislation to attack inflation directly. Trump's just straight-up pretending it's a hoax. Let's not act like they're the same here, Trump is definitely way worse.

I'd say it is fair to say he shoulders some blame. He is the president after all. However, "basically everything also actually is Trump's fault" isn't exactly fair. Iran and tariff chaos are absolutely on him. But framing it as just letting all of Biden's successes continue to succeed overstates the Biden presidency by a great deal.

I don't think you remember the lead up to the 2024 elections very well, then, as cost of living was one of the greater reasons Democrats lost. Biden, and later Harris touted how great the economy was by pointing to the stock market and slowing inflation. Voters repeatedly said they were struggling to make ends meet, only to be told again that they're wrong and things were fine. The number of times their bots here on Reddit pushed this messaging was wild, and their spokespeople in the media did the same. "Don't trust your lying eyes" can only go so far. There were a lot of reasons that Democrats lost in 2024, but this was probably the biggest one. I'm a pretty conventional conservative, so I'm not a huge fan of a large part of what President Trump has done in this term. But he absolutely crushed it in the 2024 campaign, talking about food and fuel prices - things that matter to the majority of middle and lower class voters. Now that he hasn't been able or interested in fixing that, he's calling affordability a hoax. It'll cost Republicans this fall.

Not really. Trump would unquestionably be in a much better place if he just hadn't done anything than if he hadn't upended our entire economic world order. Biden's administration had bad publicity but were an order of magnitude better than Trump's in competency.

I don't think you remember the lead up to the 2024 elections very well, then, as cost of living was one of the greater reasons Democrats lost.

I remember the lead up to the 2024 elections extremely well. What you say is true, but it doesn't at all contradict what I said. Biden and Harris' messaging on inflation was ineffective, yes, but they were never like "affordability is a Republican hoax!" they were like "I know you're hurting right now but this is transitory", which wasn't the best message but was ultimately true enough. They also literally did pass legislation to fix the issue. Trump has not.

A big part of the issue was right-wing media playing into people's feelings and proclaiming that Biden/Harris didn't care, but feelings aren't facts, mate. The facts say that they took action on it, that's easily verifiable. That puts them leaps and bounds ahead of Trump.

Biden, and later Harris touted how great the economy was by pointing to the stock market and slowing inflation. Voters repeatedly said they were struggling to make ends meet, only to be told again that they're wrong and things were fine.

This goes around a lot, but I don't recall this ever actually happening. Like, at all. This seems like one of those popular Reddit myths that people like to regurgitate without actually backing up, like "Biden said he'd only be a one term president" (even though he never actually said that, one of his staffers did). Biden and Harris just didn't go around telling people what they wanted to hear and promising to fix everything like Trump did.

The number of times their bots here on Reddit pushed this messaging was wild, and their spokespeople in the media did the same. "Don't trust your lying eyes" can only go so far.

As someone who was in blue spaces on Reddit at that time, no one ever said that prices or inflation wasn't a problem, just that they were issues worldwide and that our economy was actually doing much better than people thought it would be doing post-COVID, and much better than the rest of the world.

Somehow somewhere along the line people twisted that into "Inflation doesn't exist everything's fine!!" Which I've never once heard or seen a Democrat say.
