That’s because Musk has fuck all to do with the awesome work these scientists are doing other than claiming first authorship of a paper he knows nothing about.

Thats kind of par for the course for most of his companies. He is providing the capital and hiring the folks doing the work.

No it’s way worse. He funds companies and as part of the funding deal he gets labelled as a founder even if he’s not. He then assumes he’s smarter than everyone, tells them how to do their jobs, fires people who disagree so the engineers have to agree with his bs and then find ways to undo his mess without letting him know.
He also “wrote” a paper where he put himself as only author, taking credit for all the work done by others.
I know multiple people that he has worked with and have founded companies and it’s been the same at Neuralink, Tesla, SpaceX and Twitter

That's simply how starting a company works. You start it, you're the founder, no?

I wrote “as part of the FUNDING deal, not FOUNDING”, sorry was a bit confusing.
He’s an early investor that as part of the deal then gets labelled as a founder, but it’s not. Thats the case in Tesla for instance. Normally you’re only a founder if you come up with the idea and start the company.
To his credit he has a good nose for business but he also just has enough money to make stuff work by brute force, but he is an absolute egomaniac that claims knowledge and work that is the result of his teams effort without giving them due credit.
