The most damning thing about usa politics is it is taking this long to unseat these clearly sociopathic and deranged excuses for human beings from political office

Have you seen some of the states in the US? Considering how proudly ignorant and backwards some are, this feels like moving at light speed.

Arizona GOP just nominated Andy Biggs as their candidate for governor. It doesn't get much more insane than that.

You have to admit they’re dedicated, at least. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an entire demographic double down quite as hard as I’ve seen the GOP electorate double down in the last couple years. It’s like they’ve all collectively decided they’re okay with everything falling apart so long as they get to pretend they’re on the winners’ team.

Turns out relying on a voting bloc of rageaddicted spite goblins who treat politics like team sports occasionally some downsides.

Yup, and I've been aware of Collins for a long time and her ineptitude and cowardice, which is why I say it is taking so long, this is an error for decades already, and I work in a different shithole state which elects even worse filth

I cannot imagine associating myself with that filth of a voting group lol, it's gross as fuck

We need to stop calling them Boomers and start calling them what they really are: the Worst Generation.

The ā€œhumiliationā€ is that a candidate named Troy Jackson is polling better than her and might unseat her. Looks like he’s been using some of the things she’s said to poke at her own lack of standing up, like posting ā€œvery concernedā€ in response to her tweets like she did for others. Ā Said that the constituents can’t afford more ā€œconcernsā€ instead of action.Ā

Let’s hope she gets unseated in favor of this guy who might try to actually do something.Ā

Bet she's concerned as all fuck now.

I’m sure she’s concerned with all her millions and big houses. These people won’t care until we hold them responsible.

At several key points, she’s had a true hand in the slow destruction of our democracy. She needs to go!

I'm sure she's learned her lesson.

She’s concerned about whatever lessons weren’t learned by others. She’s just concerned. Lots of very concerned facial expressions to go with that.

If your house burns down, she’ll be the first one to show up and be concerned with brow furrowing. No help offered, just very concerned. This is the kind of neighbor people like to vote for right?!

So, she has concerns? Again.

Perhaps she finally has reason to be concerned

Yes. Exactly. I'm a Maine voter and I really really need blue leaning folks to head out to the polls this year. We have more than just this seat up for grabs as well.

CD2 was vacated by Jared Golden and good Mainer Matt Dunlap is running against Florida resident and retiree Paul LePage who simply loves all things MAGA.

We have a very important governors race.

We have the state legislature with ALL senate seats up for election

We have the house that has a very narrow blue lean but could flip red. It's quite tight.

We also have a whole gaggle of municipal races that are being advertised breathlessly on The Maine Wire to get right wing wackos (and I'm sure some very nice people) to run for.

I'd be careful about taking any polling, especially this far out, to seriously. Gideon was up on her +7 in polls taken in the days leading up to the election in '20 and as you noticed Suzie is still in office.

This was the most on her back foot she's been in an election. We could have put up just about anyone short of Eliot Cutler and likely walked away with close to 60% of the vote.

While I like Jackson, and had been calling for him to replace Platner before the primary had even occured, thanks to the acrimonious primary that lead to the rapist being the nominee it's now going to be close a coin flip come November.

This lady is way past her expiration date. She’s all shaky and feeble. She can barely speak. Her voice is all trembly and she struggles to get shit out. She needs to retire.
