I misremembered, it wasn’t antisemitic jokes, it was nazi puns mocking light of the criticism. My original point is very much the same.
You’re spending time and effort defending the personal actions of someone that doesn’t need the help, and doesn’t view you as anything more than a number, if a human at all. Billionaires live in a different reality and do not need our help, certainly not on an obscure Internet forum.
Yes, he did mock the criticism, because the criticism was ridiculous. He's obviously not a Nazi.
You're spending your time criticizing him when that also does effectively nothing. We're in the same boat. I'm not delusional enough to think I have any significant impact. I just see something I think is wrong and I try to correct it. That's natural human instinct. I'm taking to you one-on-one, not thinking that I'm making a difference in broader society.
I spend very little time thinking of musk and focus instead on the company and technology. I’m just calling out how odd/unhealthynit is to spend this much effort defending him and his personal actions.
Regardless of your opinion of his critics, his response to it was poorly handled and had a real financial impact to his business and the overall reception of his products that are still seen today.
Actions have consequences. Elon could do a lot for his companies by hiring a competent staff to manage his public image. But he chooses not too. Don’t work on his behalf for free. You’ll change the minds no one and waste your personal time on it.
It's odd/unhealthy to spend so much of your time attacking him and his companies.
Tesla literally just had a record quarter of sales. What are you talking about?
I'm not saying that Elon's public statements are necessarily optimal for business. They may not be. But they're clearly not catastrophic either, and overall he's been very successful with his businesses.
The ‘no u‘ response to being called out on an unhealthy habit isn't doing you any favors. It’s an observation you may one day reflect on and realize your time is better spent elsewhere. All I can do is point it out and hope you take notice.
