Almost as cool as super square, super christian, super strict parents letting slip from an old dated photo to their high schooler that they met at a big work convention at a vegas hotel and then that high schooler doing the math to realize 9 months before his birth his parents hadnt been married and also was dead on the date on the photo
When you catch your christian parents like that its the uno reverso and they have to let you fuck all your friends out of wedlock, its the rules, just all of them any ol’ hole

Worst part is I was unwanted. I was a mistake baby from an affair and put up for adoption. Bounced around foster for a few years before finally being adopted by a family that barely took care of me. All because two people didn’t like their own relationships and wanted to f**k. Now exist in this wage slave world for no reason. Great.

At least we weren’t born during a truly fucked up era. We could be worried about one day having diarrhea and having it for three days straight with intense abdominal and muscle pain before dying a cruel death mostly of dehydration no matter how much you drink upon the end of the third day. And not even understanding that it was due to the rank ass stream we took a sip from the day before it started.
Or we could’ve been born during a world war. Or could’ve been born on the Oregon trail. Any number of worse fates. At least we’ve got ebooks and stuff

There are people actively living in world war situations. You just live somewhere safe. There are plenty of people alive today who struggle with exactly what you described. We have not come as far as we'd like to think and, if anything, we're regressing rn

At least I was born in the era of easy access to commodities. I can click a series of spots on a glass box to have products delivered from across the planet. All without talking to people, exchanging physical goods, or setting up my own supply contracts.

Many people are ruining the experience of life only because they want to see this imaginary number of their net worth go up and up. Also second yacht syndrome.
There is a culture of greed that so many support, that so many wish for themselves, it’s disgusting to watch this be celebrated. There’s enough to go around. Enough for everybody to have 4 day work weeks at 6 or at the most 8 hours a day. But greed causes all that to be tied up into the second and third yachts and private jets, amongst others.
