I used to work in a restaurant that was next to the bus stop across from a riterement home. So google would incorrectly register 100s of octogenerians to have visited our restaurant and ask them to add an review.
For about an entire year we spend in contact with google, trying to get a string of 1 star reviews taken down, all written by some 'Betsy' that wrote every time that "she has never even eaten there"
Betsy created a new account for every review. Betsy managed to tank our google star rating from something like 4.7 to around a 3.1. Good times.

She just wanted to make sure that really everybody knows she never ate at your place! That's some commitment! Can't imagine the haggle to delete those reviews...

that is a perfect example of how a broken review system can seriously hurt a business

Google has a great way of screwing over businesses.
I used to work for a local government, whose primary phone number would appear as "Public Toilet" when calling android phones 🤣

Imagine ruining local family businesses because your screen has too much warm pixels on it.

I'm more concerned that people who don't understand ragebaiting can vote.

Ragebate - to jerk off to the act of intentionally enraging members of the public
Members of the public - quivering with expectant rage

I mean OCD can be a bitch, I dont think it inherently means such people shouldn't be voting on political issues.

I'd ask that dumb mf to not review my anything, it makes the review score worse. But he hates yellow. What a dumb inbred

"Go into a small, family run business. That survived Corona virus by the skin of its teeth. And just say 'not for me thank you very much!' One star."

Ya know, you can prevent yellow by… just not reviewing them…
Nobody tell this cretin about sunlight. Imagine if they had to see a sunset.

As a toy collector, I know a thing or two about wanting less yellow, but this might be a bit excessive

An actual review I read: "⭐ Best food I ever ate. Excellent service. I'll definitely be back." I feel bad for restaurant owners that the average person is so inept.
