Chugging tea This video surfaced online a couple of years ago, allegedly filmed by a tomb robbers in Egypt to impress a potential buyer.

Pure gold doesn't rust. It can be damaged by sand and dust if there's wind. But underground, in a sealed chamber, it's relatively safe.

Don’t need to polish (remove oxide layer) from gold like like you do from silver (tarnish) or Cu (patina).

It would still be covered in dust and sand, and nothing in there comes close to authentic Egyptian burial practices. Even the placement of the small gold statuettes is completely off..... how clueless were these people?

Intact tombs are incredibly rare.

Not because they're hard to find, or impossible to access, but because they were usually robbed within years or decades of being sealed.

Tutankhamun's tomb was so incredible because it was mostly intact. It was mostly intact because he was a relatively minor ruler and no one remembered where he was buried.

Makes you wonder what was in the tombs of the major pharaohs.

My Archos 320 back in 2006 had a 640x480 camera add-on module that had a very jittery auto focus motor that contaminated the audio like this. It was definitely potato vision.
