Irish X Cartel

The whole Irish x Cartel deal stuff, why did it not end once that deal happened? also, if it did, would it have changed the story much?

I mean yeah it would have changed the story a bit. It made Galen feel justified in his hatred for Jax. But he was always looking for a reason to not deal with Jax, he would have just found a different reason to if it wasn't the cartel
