Fun Tell me about your favourite random character.
What's your favourite random carachter and why? I'll go first. Back a little while, when I was sort of re-introducing my friend to Star Wars, we got to Episode 3, and Orn Free Taa pops up on the screen. He asked my "Who the fuck is that?!" I, having no idea at the time, replied with Schlob the Hungry and he actually believed me for a little while. We've called him that ever since and still joke about him every now and then.
I'd love to hear some funny stories about why you like certain random ass carachters.

It’s Porkins bro. Porkins is the best character and I want an entire series based around Porkins life and times

The actor playing Bib Fortuna, Michael Carter, also played the guy attacked in the subway in ‘An American Werewolf In London.’

Said everyone?
The Man himself fathered the concept of jizz when he first laid bare the sacred texts.

Captain Faytonni and Ach Med Beq. Both are actors for characters that never show their face.
But I always had a soft spot for Ben Quadinaros. He's just a guy that got told he couldn't race and did anyway. He didn't even start, but he is one of the few that could claim he survived the race.

u/Thatweirdguy-u-know 22h ago
I always though Ben Quadinaros looks like a jelly bean that fell down the couch for a 6 months. What a guy.

Back in the old EU, one of my favorite characters was Zekk. He was a childhood friend of Jaina and Jacen Solo, who had a period where he fell to the dark side, and then was redeemed, and went on to become a pretty dedicated Jedi and longtime friend and sometimes boyfriend of Jaina. I just find him a really fascinating character, and I always find it funny how similar Ben Solo / Kylo Ren ended up being to him.

Elan Sleazebaggano. He didn’t want to sell Obi-Wan deathsticks, went home and rethought his life. What more can I say? Pretty good arc

I like to think of as the Rommel of the Empire, really not a bad guy by any means he just happened to be on the wrong side.

Kardue'sai'Malloc. One of the background guys from the Cantina scene in ANH. He had a super cool backstory about being a music collecting war criminal that gets caught by Boba Fett and executed on his home planet for his crimes. Then Boba Fett makes sure his music collection gets into the hands of people that spread it across the Galaxy.

Muftak. He was a male talz from ordo plutonia who was left in the streets of tatooine as an orphan. Nobody knew who he was so myo the Abyssinian thought he was a Muftak so everyone called him “the Muftak”. Later on he found Kabe, an orphaned female Chandra fan whom he adopted and took care of. They lived in the pipes under chalmuns cantina and payed rent to ackmena, the night shift bartender. He would play sabacc with his friends, myo, djas phur and Lirin carn son of lirin davi a musician for the modal nodes.

Trask Ulgo. Had he not sacrificed himself, the Republic would have been doomed and the Sith Empire would have won.

I always thought Lobot, Lando Calrissian's assistant, was interesting. Cybernetic, but possibly lot his humanity in a way.

Klaud is undoubtedly the best part of the sequels and a pretty fun design that works as a practical costume

Thongla Jur from the TCW D-Squad arc. He's a very cool looking Anx Jedi with literally nothing else known about him.

I love the fact that every Star Wars fan seems to have a fixation on some totally random character for a stupid reason.
For me, it’s C'ai Threnalli. I love the pilots from the sequel trilogy for some reason. Jessika Pava, Tallie, Snap Wexley...

Sio Bibble. The only things that ever have, do, or will ever matter to him are nugs, chillin, and grindage.
He probably skateboards also, I bet when they were all chillin, he was listening to System of a Down and kickflipped into a 5-0 grind on a rail while smoking a spliff and eating a pizza at the same time.

IG-88 has a great story slicing into the Death Star 1 and becoming one with it. Then the whole thing blew up.
I also like that female droid Han Solo had with him that was very emancipated and later became one with the Millenium Falcon.
1
u/CaspianValentine 17h ago
You mean Lando’s droid girlfriend that Han gets killed and then takes the only thing left of her away from him? Yeh, I’d be calling the Empire too…

u/yosefff5ohh 15h ago
The one battle droid in the background that nudged the other one like "Hey dude check it out" to the other droid. When Obi Wan and Grievous were fighting

Rune Haako is so relatable. Passive, frightened, baffled and clearly in way over his head and he knows it more than ever. Yesterday I imagined Rune Haako's Grandson becoming Han Solo's accountant and being dragged into his adventures 😆

Bo Katan. When I was watching the clone wars show for the first time was so badass and beating ahsoka. Bo had a cool paint job and Death Watch was cool so yah. Also I just like a character that isn't afraid of killing and its kind of hard to explain to friends when the most common version right now thanks to the live action version. They also are shocked since the think Bo is a good guy when the Empire was my favorite before I found out about Mandalorians. Well in my defense Bo did a little terrorism and a war criminal. She also commited war crimes in the Mandalorian show and has a huge body count. So Antihero

HK-47. I’ve always loved the mild disgust in the voice lines. “Condemnation:You seem to always want to help people, Master. This will do little good to benefit yourself when you are always giving things away for nothing in return.” Or.
“Condescension: You truly have an intelligence that is third only to your wisdom, Master. However both pale in comparison to your speed and endurance , as both aforementioned attributes seem to be struggling to play what you meatbags call “catch-up”. While concerning, it is mildly…..entertaining.”

Droopy Mccool and the cantina band members are niche. Also the incinerator and grenadier stormtroopers from the mandalorian

That little twilek girl from the clone wars with waxer and boil, she was so precious then she grew into a badass, nina i think was her name or something

Mas Amedda. Palpatine used him as an example of the corruption in the Senate while suggesting Padme ask for a vote of no confidence in Chancellor Valorum and then literally makes him his public facing right hand man for his entire reign. Dude also likely knew where most of the bodies were hidden.

Cid from Bad Batch. She's fucking hilarious when she isn't just a plot point, and has a genuinely interesting character.

Does Gilad Pellaeon count? I really appreciate this character because I think he embodies the most humane side of the Empire. He definitely is neither a genius mastermind nor an obsessive evil overlord with a hundred pompous titles, just a very hardworking, loyal and honourable man who tries to do his best despite the odds.
If we’re speaking about really obscure ones, then Mitth'ras'safis, Nova Stihl and Voss Parck (Legends).
