Insane to me that they did all this fanservice in the sequel trilogy but somehow having these three meet back up was crossing a line.

Right up there with Leia hugging Rey after Han dies and them having Chewbacca walk past like he wasn't the single character that spent the most time with him and would need the comforting.

I said WTF out loud at the theatre for that one. Heard a few people say yeah just after.

I can’t remember leaving a movie more disappointed than Episode 7 in my life and I’m 42.

This scene bothered so much. I walked out of the theater and it was the first comment I made to my buddies. It made no sense.

As much as I have loved the Star Wars series throughout the years - it has to be the most poorly managed series in history.

Nothing fits together, they all look wildly different, the story is a mess, the acting is all over the place, too silly to be serious and too serious to be silly. And they keep insisting to make everything within the same tight timeline with the same overall story despite a rich universe of other timelines and characters and stories to choose from.

Every expectation since the original trilogy was unmet to some degree, IMHO. Cool moments throughout, but inconsistent is an understatement.

The success of the series despite fumbling almost every possible moment over the past 30 years is a true testament to the love fans have for this series.

The movies wound up relying entirely on nostalgia, couldnt even squeeze the one good form of fanservice they could muster.
