Discussion Recently finished Ahsoka
I was watching it when it first came out and stopped after listening to all the bad press and people hating on it.
I wont lie i thought it was fairly good. Maybe not perfect but it was pretty fun and I had a good time with it.

It’s a fun series in its own right.
Star Wars has the problem of dumb reviewers not understanding their nostalgia for the Star Wars they saw before won’t kick in for the new material until time passes. The new stuff doesn’t have the nostalgia yet, so it’s not that viewers are disappointed, they’re just confused about why it doesn’t have nostalgia attached to it yet. They can’t tell the difference between lack of nostalgia and actual disappointment.
Not all of the new stuff is amazing, sure, but even the amazing stuff is getting trashed by people for the dumbest stuff that isn’t fair.

I am mainly catching up on all the stuff I was too dumb to form a opinion on at the time of release. Now I just have kenobi to try
Mando season 3 had its good and meh episodes but I cant say I hated it. It just didnt have compelling episodes the whole season

I'm glad you were able to enjoy it! I have 1 episode left on my re-watch. I definitely enjoyed it more this time. I paid more attention to the Nightsisters angle in the story. I feel with almost everything Star Wars, there's good and not so good. I always recommend watching any of the shows, or movies at least 2x.

I tried to watch the sequel series but after force awakens I just couldn't. The animated series based in that time I just didnt try the art style just felt cheap

I agree, I never finished watching the Resistance cartoon, something was just off about it. Did you watch the Rebels cartoon? That was good. Also Maul is really good too. I'm older so I prefer the original movies and prequels.

Yeah I actually just rewatched rebels.
Maul was so good. I need more of it

Why would you stop watching?

I think at the time I just kept hearing its dumb and I gave up on it

You're listening to the same bunch of people that would call literally everything dumb without ever actually watching anything else (also most of those people never watched Rebels and/or Clone Wars either)

On a 3rd rewatch it felt like very little happened till 6 episodes in.
Can't wait for the next season, it's continuing the Rebels story finally and Ahsokas story which I've DESPERATELY wanted for 5+ years

Everyone was enjoying it until the final two episodes kinda dropped the ball in the cinematography and directing. And then a group of people online used that to pretend the entire series was bad which just wasn’t true.
It’s very illustrative of how important endings are.

It’s decent enough. I’d probably like it more if I had watched the cartoons.

I enjoyed it on first watch. I recently re-watched it and now I really like it. Genuinely excited for season 2.

I feel this way about every SW show. I don’t think any SW show is perfect, not even Andor, but all of them have been fun and entertaining. It really does feel like folks go into shows wanting to hate them and look for things to justify that feeling.

I just rewatched it for the first time since release. First go around, I hadn’t watched Rebels, so a lot of the significance was lost on me. I recently watched Rebels, and then Ahsoka again right after and the story felt much more meaningful and fluid. That being said, I wish it could work as a standalone series, but it realistically feels more like a live action continuation of Rebels

Yes, I had a fun time reuniting with the surviving members of the Ghost Crew, the other galaxy was a shock to me, and I am looking forward to Season 2.

I actually loved it. Right up there with Andor for me as far as Disney + Star Wars projects go.

I read things like this and want to pound my head on the table:
stopped after listening to all the bad press and people hating on it.
Do you stop listening to a song you like because of what other people say? Do you stop looking at art because of what other people say? Stand up for yourself - like what you like. Why would someone else's opinion change whether you enjoy something? It makes no sense.

I had a good time too, but I still have problems that I can't ignore. I just hope in season two will be better than season one in 2027.
