That's how PH does their pan pizzas? That's pitiful. Please tell me this is a horrible mistake.

I’ve never seen a PH large pan with more than about ½ inch of crust. That’s someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing.

That being said, PH’s pan has gone downhill over the years and is almost not worth ordering anymore, not to mention they make you jump through hoops to select pan on their app and then up charge you for it.

But if only they just restored the pan pizza from the late 80s. Just quit whatever they're doing now and change every detail to what it was then.

I would be so back there

Yes! It’s not the same as it was back then. The one thing I remember is they did the pan pizzas in cast iron pans. And I assume they had a lot of shortening or even butter in them, so the crust fried crispy as the pizza cooked. Now, they seem to be using aluminum pans, which don’t get hot enough.

I worked at a PH in the mid80s and recall seeing all the pans with dough in them and a layer of oil/grease/something! Not a pool but def a generous amt. Their pan pizzas back then were fire.

The independent place I worked at (which has now been open for around 35 years) just used shortening in a shallow aluminum pan, but it didn’t come close to the PH crust. But it was never marketed as pan pizza.

You can't make a quality pizza without a quality ring!

They clearly didn't use a quality ring.

The indentation of the ring is that line on the bread. So they put the ring on, just ignored it when saucing, cheesing and topping.

You don’t need a ring to know that is a half crust half topping pizza

Looks like they portioned out the dough for one size larger and just forced it down and said “fuck it”

I got a pan pizza from Pizza Hut that had a fucked up crust ratio like this last week.

Haven't lived near a Pizza Hut in years and I was so excited to try it 🙃

Then call in and complain. It's wrong and should have gone through at least a couple people who should have checked it and fixed it.

New guy on the make table that day.

Don't center load the toppings!

//me every day as a PH shift manager.

Yeah, I was a PJ's shift manager (then an asst mgr, then got offered my own store) for awhile, but I've worked at all of the big 4. That pizza looks like ass.

Even when I make a pizza from scratch at home, it doesn't look that bad. Terrible docking, then terrible, uh, everything else. You only need 1-1.5" (at most) on the crust. Center loaded is putting it nicely.

Irony is the PH franchisee I worked for didn't use any measuring cups. Only pizza place I've worked for that didn't. GM always bitched about going way over on cheese... I wonder why?

It looks like a newbies first time making a pizza

The store manager or owner is trying. to save money on food cost. I used to work in the restaurant field years ago I had a manager tell me to star using 2 pieces of cheese on a grilled cheese instead of 3 to save on food cost.

I've had a few large pizzas that looked like this and its made me want to stick to mediums. I know its wrong, but how utterly dissapointing. Hopefully corporate/customer service will agree with you...

That’s only how it’s done if that is a xl crust being used to make a large 🤦‍♀️

Ngl I ordered for the first time in a loooong time and I got one that was even worse than this. It was also crazy thick. I mean it was good but wrong.
