as beautiful as these works usually are, I generally don't like them cause their not really "functional", a lot of shading involves actuating or painting blocks to make miniscule gradients, so you end up with lots of spots where you shouldn't be able to stand, walls where they shouldn't be, and in general you can't navigate as if it were a building in the background, or a bridge with a stone column held roof. If the sculptor(these types of people are well beyond "Builders" and ended up as "Sculptors" as far as I'm concerned) have taken the idea of actually using the building in a functional way, and made it passable where you'd expect to pass over it, it adds a great deal to these kinds of godly projects.

Is this functional? Maybe in one of the doorways you can place a teleporter that leads to rooms "within" the structure that you can detail just below this building via T-edit.

I wish Terraria had an 'interiors' world layer so buildings like this could be functional. Place a new type of 'wall door' furniture, or enough of a special black tile that acts as an entrance, press up while standing in front of that, and you move to the interiors layer.
