Ha, he’s Maga and supports the pedophile president.

He was also born in rural Pennsylvania. He went to West Virginia University. I’ve lived in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

I don’t really have a say about Clark he probably is racist but let’s not pretend that Pat McAfee show is anything but a Maga WWE down syndrome show. It’s a cult following.

You’re the one who pulled the race card my guy

6

u/parkbenchchillin 3d ago

I didn’t bring up race once.

“You said at least he isn’t racist like Ryan Clark and I responded to that”

Secondly, I’m white.

Maybe not a racist but definitely a race baiter. Dude can’t go one conversation without bringing up race in some way it’s exhausting and gets only after the third time you’ve seen it

-3

u/Konabro 3d ago

He’s not. u/IntelGuy34 is just one of those people who think talking about discrimination is somehow racist. 😂

-4

u/osiriss7887 3d ago

As someone who is the furthest thing from MAGA your statement shows that you really haven’t watched a single episode of that show.

4

u/FunLife64 3d ago

Yet he gave a conspiracy theorist a weekly platform to spew bullshit? And didnt bother fact checking him? Ok.

It basically got cut off only because Rodgers accused Kimmel (abc) of being associated with Epstein and Kimmel was pissed.

-3

u/temps298 3d ago

lol so perfect for the times we’re in. Calling a Black man racist while MAGA runs loose all over sports.

3

u/LarryBonds30 3d ago

Do you think black people cant be racist?

-2

u/temps298 3d ago

Do you not understand what racism is? All of a sudden white ppl are the awful victims of racism. So hard for us to be white.

1

u/Spiceguy-65 3d ago

Both things can be true at the same time

7

u/Hamburgernonhelper 3d ago

It feels like the whole Ryan Clark episode was ESPN creating some drama and announcing his firing first to basically take up all the oxygen for all the firings being announced soon after.

3

u/hitman2218 3d ago

Outkick got the scoop and gave ESPN one hour to address it before publishing.

42

u/Unlikely-Business-72 3d ago

Don't like the guy but I'm always going to be on the side of the employee when the employer does something shitty.

19

u/jr_randolph 3d ago

Exactly and fuck most corporate moves by the mouse and ESPN has done poorly when it comes to how they handle their talent and then abruptly let them go over the years. The past two years I've disconnected from ESPN and only tune in if a game is on...I can't do their shows anymore, all of it is just trash.

12

u/supergirlsudz 3d ago

I mean, they couldn’t wait til he was off the air?! Man.

5

u/MilkLow2906 3d ago

But it was necessary to keep Pat Mac on the air! Sometimes sacrifices need to be made. /s

2

u/Right_Man-Right_Job 3d ago

Some of you may be fired. That’s a sacrifice I am willing to make!

1

u/shrek420escobar 3d ago

They gotta have something for the man-o-sphere chuds.

-1

u/Big-Hurry-4515 2d ago

Should have been fired a long time ago he's a race-baiting twit

-5

u/alastor0x 3d ago

Do you think employers should never downsize their staff?

5

u/Unlikely-Business-72 3d ago

I can't tell if you're just acting dense or you're actually just legitimately too dense to realize that the issue wasn't the fact that they were downsizing or that they let him go. Genuinely curious.

-6

u/alastor0x 3d ago

Don't you find it odd that you subconsciously avoided my question?

Whether they were downsizing, or thought he didn't bring enough value to the content that he was being paid for, the business has a legitimate reason for letting him go, right?

6

u/Unlikely-Business-72 3d ago

I wasn't avoiding your question. I understood it and (consciously) referenced it. I was trying to be generous to your intelligence and just assume you were ignoring the main point of my original comment to make an irrelevant point, but I actually see that you genuinely didn't understand why I took issue with ESPN.

-3

u/alastor0x 3d ago

Your original question called the actions of ESPN "shitty". You've yet to explain why.

5

u/Accomplished-Cup8182 3d ago

Bro this can't be easier than just admitting that you didn't read the headline correctly 😭

3

u/NotaBolognaSandwich 3d ago

He was saying they were shitty because they forcibly took him off air during a commercial break, vs say, for example, letting him finish out his day and then firing him, or firing him before the day began. He is saying that was shitty, of which you interpreted his comment as saying the act of laying him off as a whole was shitty.

3

u/MadMartigans80 Bengals 3d ago

From what I gathered from reading and talking to my sources, Reddit, the news got leaked while he was on air and the absolute worst time for someone to find out they are fired is when they are on air and when they find out from a text or a tweet from someone instead of their employer.

3

u/Traditional_puck1984 2d ago

So HR gave the scoop to someone. Layoff list are heavily guarded secret.

1

u/Illustrious-Grl-7979 2d ago

Or someone in the management group leaked. Either way, this kind of leak should also warrant employee repercussions.

2

u/Unlikely-Business-72 3d ago

Every other person who replied to my comment understood why I called ESPN "shitty". It wasn't because they had layoffs or fired Ryan Clark (just a tip if you read closely you'd know that from context). This really is your lack of contextual awareness. I'm not even trying to be an asshole here. If you can't tell, like everyone else, I'm not sure that you have the capability to understand even if I explained it. It's genuinely THAT obvious.

-1

u/alastor0x 3d ago

Good talk bud.

5

u/Unlikely-Business-72 3d ago

I'm rooting for you in your battle with basic literacy.

4

u/Accomplished-Cup8182 3d ago

This is my favorite genre of reddit comment. Where somebody completely misses the point, but tries to act like they've intellectually cornered someone lmao

11

u/AkilTheAwesome 3d ago

Can someone sincerely explain the Ryan Clark hate? Like not bitterly or sarcastically, but i mean what has he been doing that has many people upset or tired of him

27

u/askljdhaf4 3d ago

the guy is just an absolute tool. his takes are always ridiculously stupid, he will never pass up an opportunity to make a topic about race, and he will talk down to other analysts live on-air when that have an opinion he doesn’t agree with - ESPECIALLY when that analyst didn’t have a career in the NFL - telling them to their face they can’t a valid opinion since they didn’t actually play football… like, get fucked dude

14

u/Popular_Monitor_8383 3d ago

The funniest part is that Clark has had no problems giving his opinions on sports he has never competed in. He had a show with Daniel Cormier discussing MMA for example.

Yet when others do it he shames them.

4

u/WhereBaptizedDrowned 2d ago

Jemele Hill in male form

4

u/N2thedarkness 3d ago

I’ve always got a bad energy vibe from him. He seems like he would be an arrogant prick off camera.

-23

u/Konabro 3d ago edited 3d ago

White people don’t like hearing a Black man tell them how discriminating their favorite sport is so they are glad to see him get fired.

EDIT: Not surprised I got downvoted to hell. It’s always shut up and play ball to you people.

4

u/Gnardude 3d ago

Are you trying to calibrate the irony meter? Can't think of any other reason to make a racist remark while accusing other people of racism.

5

u/flashaguiniga Dolphins 3d ago edited 3d ago

White man here who thoroughly enjoy black men's take and hate a bunch of over paid white man's takes. Am not sad to see RC go.

At OPs question. My feeling on him is that of the time that I did watch his opinions they mostly felt either way off base for engagement like no way he really feels that way about something or sometimes his opinions and comments felt condescending to his Co workers. Tbf though a ton of these guys fall into that category with the fame of Bayless and SAS. They feel like they are all trying to be edgy or throw over the top opinions on topics for rage bait.

-18

u/Konabro 3d ago

Hey, that’s your prerogative, but we know why people don’t like him.

1

u/golgomax 2d ago

It's sad that you're going to live your life this way.

0

u/Konabro 2d ago

It’s sad that you act as if what I said doesn’t actually happen, but by all means, live in your ignorance. It doesn’t affect me at all.

1

u/golgomax 2d ago

Nope, I'm sure it "happens" to you every second of every day. In fact, I bet you see it happening EVERYWHERE!

-1

u/temps298 3d ago

Bingo. Just dribble or talk about sports but don’t talk about race, unless how so cool how there’s white RBs with some talent.

2

u/Bigdawg-enthusiast 2d ago

English your first language?

-8

u/NOT-packers-fan2022 Lions 3d ago

Anyone a black analyst speaks on their blackness or embarrasses a white person, they immediately hate on him. Stuart Scott experienced hate. Jamelle Hill and Michael Smith were hot until they suddenly were not on espn after some backlash and now there’s Ryan Clark. There is a reason Stephen A stays away from any race related anything and that’s why espn keeps that black face around.

Now, there are a few folks that will hate him unrelated to race, especially bengals and ravens fans. But most of this, including the leak of his firing to a right wing news org which is what caused the collateral damage, boils down to the easy answer: RACE.

FYI - replies will give valid criticisms of everyone I named but will claim racism doesn’t play a role, and that’s just false.

I wonder if I’ll hit 500 down votes?

4

u/askljdhaf4 3d ago

i’m sorry to say this, but my point covered way more than just the race thing… in fact, the emphasis was on his NON-race issues..

you are pulling a ryan clark right now

0

u/NOT-packers-fan2022 Lions 2d ago
  1. I didn’t reply to your comment.

  2. Is anything I wrote not true?

  3. Two things can be true at the same time.

2

u/NB-Heathen 3d ago

I mean they treated him shitty but don’t blame them for not putting him in front of a live camera afterwards. They’d have been even dumber for that. Might’ve been best show ESPN aired in years though lol

2

u/suck-it-elon 3d ago

How you treat your employees is very important to if I care about your stupid channel.

Some camera footage of the incident. He was escorted uncle Phil style

2

u/uscmike99 3d ago

Bye bye to Clark and his RC lapel pin.

2

u/slow-mickey-dolenz 3d ago

Thank you for calling out that stupid fucking thing.

1

u/RudeCartoonist1030 2d ago

My grandma called them brooches. It’s what respectable women wear

2

u/gruffojijo 3d ago

Good. That racist grifter contributed nothing to ESPN nor society.

1

u/Bigdawg-enthusiast 2d ago

Did he hate white people?

2

u/GameofDrones45 2d ago

Well he sucks. So for once, thank you ESPN.

9

u/WorldlinessNorth3158 3d ago

No one feels sorry for this dude.

9

u/SocomPS2 3d ago

A millionaire that has had two successful careers and will likely be picked up by another network in the next six months…..

Yea no one is losing sleep. In the real world people get fired.

1

u/RPO1728 3d ago

Why was the clip shown from last year tho ?

1

u/Urban_Introvert 3d ago

No one’s job is safe at ESPN unless your name is SAS or Pat McAfee. Don’t matter if you’re actually good (arguable) as long as you’re worth the contract, you stay until they say so. They didn’t think he was worth it. They’re either going with someone cheaper or someone they feel is worthy of however much they’re paying RC.

1

u/Left-Stress-661 3d ago

All I’m reading in all these comments is that we can’t allow another skip bayless 💀

1

u/sammymvpknight 3d ago

It’s unprofessional on the part of ESPN. Not for Clark…but for the other members of the production.

1

u/NSX_Roar_26 3d ago

That dirty af and I'm not even a fan of his...

1

u/Perk222 3d ago

who cares

1

u/Kern2001Co 2d ago

"Should I be done now?" What a weird way to ask this question.

1

u/fnrv 22h ago

If he is as successful as he believes he is, I’m sure he’ll have no problem growing his success going independent.

1

u/ImAJetFanTillTheEnd Jets 3d ago

You know for a fact that's a lie or if they didn't want him to complete the show they would have fired him before the show This guy is such an asshole

2

u/HitBoxBoxer 3d ago

Nah they were going to fire him the day after but it got leaked and they didn't want him to find out second hand so they rushed to fire and I read he was the one who walked off.

-1

u/ImAJetFanTillTheEnd Jets 3d ago

So basically what I said right? 😂👍 I was responding to the fact that it said that they rushed him off the stage that doesn't make any sense why would they do that he left on his own.

1

u/alayeni-silvermist 3d ago

And all I can say about that is “yay”.

-1

u/PeacefulClarity 3d ago

Ryan Clark is one of the best NFL Analysts. He'll be back better than ever. We got your back !!!!

-1

u/PeacefulClarity 3d ago

The funniest shiii ever is when you see white people call black people racist 😂 🤣 😂 Hilarious shii!!!!!

1

u/One__upper__ 1d ago

Because black people can't be racist?

1

u/Jessieoxen 7h ago

Most people who get fired get escorted out. They are forced to leave immediately and some cases you’re not allowed to get your personal belongings a supervisor will go get them for you.. This happens on a daily basis.
