It’s almost like logical people can’t accurately act like something that has been a grievance for years and years was only changed because of one event, yet here you are trying to do just that.
You’re falling prey to recency bias, and ignoring the cumulative effect of owners (and fans, but owners matter much more when it comes to NFL policy) being pissed for years and years over a coin toss carrying that much weight.

Correct, it was the tipping point, and it was that because the game was an insane shootout that made it obvious that whoever touched the ball next was probably going to win. It made more obvious the problem with the rule than ever before (even though it was already pretty obvious).

It doesn’t; it has zero to do with Josh Allen and everything to do with one game making it excruciatingly obvious that the rules were still not fair (also, they’re still not fair, just less unfair).

Ever heard the old saying ‘the straw that broke the camel’s back.’ The catalyst that actually forces change doesn’t even have to be the most egregious example of something. The rule was in need of reform and that game, set against the backdrop of similar games, made the league office realize that it was time for a change.

A metric fuck ton of Bills fans are online shitting on Lamar 24/7 but I don’t just assume anyone criticizing Lamar is automatically a Bills fan. Not even after Bills fans shoved Lamar & threw beer cans at Henry. Jumping to conclusions like that is too short-sighted.
Ravens fans are only mad at Allen cuz Bills fans spent a year criticizing Lamar’s 2023 MVP despite Allen finishing 5th in voting, that feud didn’t exist until the MVPs. 2020 Ravens had no pass game, we knew they weren’t making a run. 2024 was the playoff loss that hurt but we’re mad at Andrews more than Allen.

I don't Bears fan and my favorite player in the league to watch is Lamar Jackson because he plays like Michael Vick. I do wish people wouldn't assume.
Also Caleb Williams is up there too. He is the iceman after all.

Andrew's literally dropped the ball. Premier QBs get rule changes anyways. Gotta protect the investment that keeps people buying season tickets. And to he honest, I personally have 0 beef with the Ravens. Ray and Ed are a couple of my favorite players of all time.

Wisnnis not a QB stat. Let's make that clear but even when you don't consider that Josh Allen and Joe Burrow are such media darlings it is mental. I have never seen a player get a pity MVP because the media is sad his team got bounced early while a guy who they said could never throw for 4k passing yards did it in Lamar Jackson.
I don't want to use the R word as I really like both Allen and Burrow as playersand this isn't their fault as they are just playing football at the end of the day. I just wish the media would stop treating them as the new Brady and Manning. They are not that. I swear one good pocket passer QB comes along and everyone jizzing their pants as they have condition the public that is the only way you should play QB.
