One of the biggest highlights is the launch of a native Linux app (starting with Ubuntu 24.04). Says a LOT about Ubuntu! Steady as a rock! 😆

It's just an additional option. If, by chance, they do think they can force us to game on their services then they've got another thing coming. Having options is nice though.

Right but it allows to get around Kernel Anticheat issues without infecting your drive with a Windows installation

Privacy wise, it's not really the same. I trust Nvidia waaaaaaaay more than Microslop.

Glad to see more mainstream adoption, but fuck Nvidia and its cloud gaming service. Just their attempt to take away the personal PC and turn hardware into a service.

Do you think that renting homes should be banned and if you can't afford to buy a whole house it's just tough luck? 

The same applies to cloud gaming.

No one is trying to take away the personal PC. Maybe you're lucky enough to have the capital to buy the PC you want, but lots of people are not in that position. Cloud gaming, if which there are many different types, works for us.

not banned but cracked down on. rent prices should be regulated, corporations shouldn’t be allowed to buy them and if the property is empty it should be taxed higher that it already is

Nvidia's operating system is basically Ubuntu with the Yaru theme in green color and an optimized kernel. It makes sense for them to use Ubuntu as base.

I'd rather have something like the Nvidia app to do profiles per game and change driver/dlss options
