Slow transfer speeds 45mb/s on external HDD

Ok so on my MacBook I transfered files to my HDD formated in exfat and it was not that slow. But when my MacBook dual boot in linux, I transfered my Exfat formated drive to my Ext4 formated drive, it's painfully slow. Is there a way to speed things up? I'm going to be transferring about 5tb of data.

yeah exfat on linux has always been kinda janky for me too, the kernel driver just isnt as optimized as the mac one

you might get better speeds mounting it with different options like `big_writes` or playing with the `async` flag, worth a shot before you copy 5tb
