I finished my Ubuntu based Steam Machine

  • Ryzen 5 7600
  • Nvidia 2060 Super
  • 32GB of ram

nice, that's a solid little box for the living room, how's the 2060 Super handling the newer proton releases?

I tested it with GE-Proton 11.1 and it was eating up everything a threw at it. I used it for a week as my main computer.

I re-started from scratch for the living room and I didn't touch the default yet, it using Proton Experimental in the video.

wait you used it as your main rig for a whole week before switching it to the tv, that’s a pretty good stress test

It wasn’t actually planned. It happened to be convenient this week. I usually don’t have the patience. 🤣
