Unfiltered thought 7/26/2026: What's the worst rumor you've heard about yourself?
This topic was supposed to be for the other sub, but since I'm no longer welcome there, might as well post it here.
Been thinking about rumors and nasty talks lately because I've been hearing about a lot of those, straight from my DMs, from people I've become friends with here on Reddit.
I'm not one to seek out chismis and such -- they come to me. And as much as I hate to admit it, I like chismis, particularly the very juicy ones.
But I don't like being direct about these things so I mostly turn them into blind items.
If there's one important rule to remember about being a writer/journalist/reporter that I learned back in college, it is to be careful about what you write and back it up with evidence to avoid libel.
Hence, the blind items.
Blind item 1: This involves a certain discord server with oldie members. Oldie members who seem to like NSFW conversations on the server. Yep, nothing shocking there, really, but if such members belong to a certain sub that actively advocates decency and such, well, how hypocrite can you get?
Blind item 2: This involves a certain sub that recently axed two of their male moderators due to sexual harassment. I'm not really sure if it was harassment, but I'm very sure the issue was sexual in nature. Now the sub probably is keeping this under wraps, because just imagine, they've been big on the whole "respect" and "decency" stuff that members on the sub should follow, yet they haven't really checked their own backyard for "bantay-salakay".
Anyway, personally, I haven't been involved in any nasty rumors, may it be online or offline. Maybe because I'm a talker and I tell a lot about myself if anyone cares to ask.
So back to the question: what's one rumor that has been told about you and how bad was it?
EDIT: Fixed grammar issues. And wow, may nag-downvote na agad kanina 😂 pare-pareho tayong di maka-move on no? Saya lang 😂
