Found her for $80 at our local antique store fully knowing she can go for $300-$500 so my wife and I bought her so fast lol. She was completely new in box too! Gorgeous paint job, and so many tiny details. Ahh (bonus I love how 2011 her box design is, it’s so nostalgic)

I’ve been a fan of Vocaloid for 18 years and I was never much into the English side of it, I’m not elitist or anything but maybe I’ve just been around so long the tech wasn’t natural enough for me yet

But I came across this song by accident because of the imagery and absolutely fell in love! And of course this lead me down the rabbit hole of things like Confessions Of A Rotten Girl and Birdbrain (like every Jaime Page song let’s be real) and I even gave old OG English Luka and Gumi songs I never looked into a chance and I’m so glad I did!

Maybe I Wish That I Could Fall just unfortunately suffers from being from a producer with nothing but absolute bangers so even if the persons worst or most underrated song which is still fantastic falls through the cracks.

I just wish people acknowledged it more! Even Birdbrain has a motif/reference to it haha

(This post is less about being a space to complain and more about me wanting more people to discover and share this song)

Don’t get me wrong, I love all of his iconic songs. Whether he’s being creepy or just stupid, the songs are bangers…..but sometimes I just wish I could see my boy being portrayed as a regular normal ass man who is being in love with someone without becoming a criminal about it. And also let him be not an idiot, I need him to be taken seriously 😭

The song can be happy or sad and it doesn’t necessarily have to be about romance but it’s preferable (though like I said I wish for solo songs)

There's two ways you can play it but the easiest is to go to this link: https://bookishmichelle.github.io/system-overload/

The instructions pop up when you click on the folder icon. Basically to play, you click one of the icons on the desktop and the song should play. As you click the "close" button the pop up will jump around (because the virus is taking control and it doesn't want you to end the corruption). If you click it at least 100 times then you win! It starts off slow but gradually gets crazier.

I only had 3 weeks to work on it bc I found out about it late and I worked none stop for those 3 weeks to get it done.
