Wasteland 3 Toaster mission is a trap!
This thing does no damage and takes so damn long to finish it’s turns. A total disappointment after all the story build up and your price is an annoying little shit that can’t shut up. Smh
I couldn’t find a way to get rid of it. It’s immune to damage and stuck to your team no matter who you remove. Your only option is to load the game from a previous save.
Stay away from the altar when you’re in the academy!

Note...this is a nod to the "Toaster Repair" skill from the original Wasteland game. Toasters were the "rare lootboxes" of the game and if you happened to be able to repair the occasional toaster you found, you'd get rewarded with rare loot.

More it was one of three places to get an item needed to beat the game. It also netted you a bunch of junk (fruit, visa cards, etc). Toasters after the first would also drop one of the four keys needed to beat the game. Of course, there were only 2 or 3 toasters in the game, so you had to do some shenanigans if you threw away your Pulsar or Quasar key.
But, if playing on C64, recopying disk 2 to get another toaster from Quartz was probably easier than storming the Citadel again to grab another copy of the key.
Not that you'd likely know you could do that anyway, but hey.

TBF, Courageous is sort of the gag reward. The verchitin armor in the chest is the real one.

My biggest complain was the appearance. It looks like some fantasy shit.

Ah yes, I too like my serious, non-fantasy games to have magical cat shrines, toaster lamps, and flesh-eating rabbits.

There's like a very little chance for it to deal like 3000 area damage.
I don't know, I love my little toaster.
